Divorce Him, Then Dazzle novel Chapter 249

Catheleen woke up the next morning entirely due to the urgent need to use the bathroom.

She stumbled into the bathroom, splashed cold water on her face, and finally began to feel somewhat lucid.

Her memory of the previous night was a hazy blur.

She couldn't even remember how she had gotten home.

Trudging out of the bedroom, she spotted Camilla curled up on the couch, sketching intently on a pad of paper with a pencil.

"Cammie, working on a design?" Catheleen asked through a massive yawn, shuffling over to collapse onto the opposite end of the couch. "Did you eat breakfast yet?"

"You're awake? Do you feel sick?" Camilla set her sketchbook down on the coffee table. "I'll go toast some bread for you. I made some fruit tea too, you should drink a cup."

Catheleen waved her off weakly. "I'm not hungry. My appetite is completely gone."

"You drank way too much last night," Camilla chided gently, pouring a cup of fruit tea from the pot. "Here, just drink this for now."

Catheleen took the mug, wrapping her hands around the warmth. "Cammie, aren't the preliminary results for that Online Design Contest supposed to be out soon?"

"Yeah, sometime this afternoon."

"They come out today?" Catheleen instantly perked up. "You're definitely making it to the semi-finals!"

Camilla offered a small smile. "I hope so."

Ultimately, Catheleen was far more anxious than Camilla. Knowing the results were dropping that afternoon, she obsessively refreshed the competition website every few minutes to check for updates.

This routine continued until just after four in the afternoon, when the page finally loaded with new information.

"Cammie! Your name is right here! You made the semi-finals!"

Catheleen was so ecstatic she practically jumped off the couch.

Camilla felt a surge of genuine joy.

The competition was an international event; securing a spot in the semi-finals was an incredible achievement.

She let out a heavy sigh of relief.

She had originally feared that clothing featuring a Cultural Fusion Aesthetic wouldn't hold much of an advantage in such a globally focused contest.

But making it to the next round proved her design instincts were completely right.
