"I won't yell anymore," his voice softened.
If any of his colleagues saw him acting like this, their jaws would hit the floor.
"Jerk..." Camilla sniffled, pushing out her bottom lip into a dramatic pout. "Kiss!"
"Kiss..."
Lambert swallowed hard. Did he want to kiss her? He was practically dying from the need to! But he didn't dare. He knew if he tasted her now, he wouldn't be able to stop.
"You're so mean, and you won't even kiss me..."
Camilla whimpered, squirming against him again.
Lambert felt a very real threat of combustion. What terrible crime had he committed in a past life to deserve this exquisite torture?
When he still didn't move, Camilla glared at his strikingly handsome face, let out an annoyed huff, and leaned in to do it herself.
Unlike the peck on the cheek, this time she pressed her mouth directly to his lips. She lingered for just a second before pulling back, blinking her large, watery eyes as if evaluating the experience.
"So soft..." she mumbled sweetly, darting her tongue out to lick her own lips.
Lambert inhaled sharply.
Enough was enough.
He threw his restraint out the window, grabbed the back of her head, and crashed his mouth down on hers.
Camilla let out a muffled gasp as he swallowed the sound entirely. The chaotic little terror who had just been hitting and complaining instantly melted, going completely boneless against him like a kitten scruffed by its mother.
Stripped of all her strength, she slumped heavily against his chest, which only made it easier for him to devour her.
Their lips molded together in a desperate collision. Camilla, believing she was safe in a dream, let go of all her inhibitions. Her technique was clumsy, but she eagerly tried to return his passion. The second her tongue slipped past his lips, he caught it, drawing a gorgeous, breathy moan from the back of her throat.
