Divorce Him, Then Dazzle novel Chapter 257

Camilla felt like she was suffocating. She let out pathetic little whimpers, her hands balling into weak fists as she feebly hit his shoulders.

All the fiery bravado she had shown earlier had completely evaporated. Now, she was just a helpless, trembling mess under his overwhelming dominance.

But Lambert wasn't about to show mercy.

If he let her off the hook now, who knew what kind of excuses she'd invent to avoid him later. She was a heartless little troublemaker!

He had given her his first time holding hands, his first embrace, his first kiss, his first everything... and not only was she refusing to take responsibility, but she had the nerve to question his motives!

If she weren't still technically married, he wouldn't be holding back like this. The divorce needed to happen immediately.

But right now, the kissing absolutely had to continue.

Lambert employed his previous tactic—pulling back just long enough for her to drag oxygen into her lungs before taking her mouth again.

By the time he was done, Camilla was a puddle of liquid heat draped over him. He had to wrap an arm tightly around her waist just to keep her from sliding off his lap onto the floorboards.

The arms that had been clinging to his neck fell uselessly to her sides.

Her whimpers had devolved into soft, incoherent sounds. She felt like a piece of candy that had been thoroughly devoured, melting down to nothing.

It felt like an eternity before he finally released her.

It wasn't because he was satisfied—he was fairly certain he could kiss her until the end of time and still want more. It was because if he kept going, he was going to entirely lose control of his body.

He pulled her flush against his chest, wrapping her in a tight embrace.

The car was dead silent save for his ragged breathing as he forcefully willed his raging arousal to subside.

Camilla was finally docile, too exhausted to attempt any more accidental seduction.

The SUV had been parked for a while, but without his explicit order, none of the bodyguards dared to interrupt.

Back in the trailing vehicle, Catheleen was losing her mind. "He's not doing something awful to her, is he? What the hell are they doing in there?"

The car full of stoic bodyguards offered zero response.

Before he could finish, a loud commotion erupted outside. His security detail was highly trained; they wouldn't make a scene without a direct threat.

Lambert frowned and tapped the privacy partition. A moment later, a voice came through the intercom. "Boss, Ms. Bain bit one of the men and broke out of the vehicle."

Right on cue, someone started aggressively hammering on the window. Catheleen's muffled screaming pierced the glass.

Lambert knew his men wouldn't dare use actual force on Catheleen due to her status. With a heavy sigh, he cracked the door open a few inches.

Camilla was still straddling his lap.

"Lambert!" Catheleen, who had been violently pounding on the door a second ago, instantly switched to a sickeningly sweet tone.

"Where's Cammie?"

She practically shoved her head through the gap.

The moment she registered the incredibly compromising way they were sitting, she lost her mind. "Lambert! Why are you holding her like that!"
