“Let’s go,” Riley said quietly, gripping the hair samples tighter in her hand.

Once they ran the DNA test on these samples, they’d know for sure whether Zane was Samuel or not.

About 15 minutes later, Zane slowly came to.

“Rye, you don’t need to thank us for this kind of thing,” Vince said. “But there’s something I want to talk to you about. Just

the two of us.”

Riley glanced at Sebastian, then back at Vince. “Sebastian, why don’t you head back to the room? Vince and I need to chat for a

bit.”

Sebastian held up his hands. “I don’t have a room card. You’re not backing out on your promise now, are you? About repaying me?”

“I’m not backing out.” Riley pulled out her room card and placed it in his hand.

Sebastian pocketed the card and shot Vince an amused look before turning back to Riley. “I’ll be waiting for you in the room then.”

He headed toward the elevators.

Vince watched him go, then couldn’t help asking, “Rye, why’d you give him your room card? And what’s this about repaying him?”

“What if there’s never going to be anything there? Isn’t that a waste?” she asked.

“Nothing in this world is set in stone. Maybe someday, Rye, you won’t just see me as a little brother anymore.” Vince raised an eyebrow.

He knew she only saw him as a younger brother right now. But someday, he was going to break through that barrier and make her see him as something more.
