Divorced CEO's Forgotten Wife Strikes Back (Riley and Bryce) novel Chapter 383

Chapter 383 Getting Cynthia Released

The moment Lara finished reading the list, she couldn’t help blurting out, “Wow. Oh my God. This doesn’t look like a compensation list at all. It looks more like a wedding gift registry.”

Riley frowned and took the list from her hand. One glance was enough. Luxury cars, villas, high–end apartments, jewelry, and even several tech companies under the Torres family were all listed there.

Once she signed it, everything on that list would officially be transferred to her name.

And yet, the more generous it was, the more uneasy she felt. A faint sense of dread crept into her chest, as if Sebastian were trying to cut all ties with her for good.

Ever since she woke up, he had never shown up. Was he really planning to walk away?

She was certain Sebastian still had feelings for her. Otherwise, he would never have risked his life to rush into the fire to save

her, nor would he have shielded her from the falling debris.

$9 why was he avoiding her?

When Lara usually came by the hospital, Samuel was always there.

“He went to the police station to bail out Cynthia,” Riley replied.

“What?” Lara snapped. “He’s actually bailing out that woman? She tried to kill you. Locking her up for life wouldn’t even be enough.”

“But her hematopoietic stem cells can save Lina,” Riley said calmly. “If she stays in prison, Lina won’t survive that long.”

As much as Riley hated Cynthia, she was still the key to saving Lina.

For now, the only option was to get Cynthia released, send her back to Russia, and have her save Lina first. Everything else

would have to wait.

“How is it even possible?” Lara muttered. “Of all people, Cynthia just happens to be a perfect match for Lina. That’s beyond unfair.”

“At least Lina has a chance now,” Riley said. Without a suitable donor, Lina would only be waiting to die.

As she spoke, Riley opened the document folder Felix had given her earlier.

there, her face changed instantly. Shock filled her eyes.

“What is it?” Lara leaned in to look. After a moment, her expression stiffened as well. “You’ve got to be kidding me. Cynthia actually…”

“Then how about I take these documents over there myself?Lara suggested.

As long as Samuel cared about Lina, Cynthia held the upper hand.

Once she walked out of here and returned to Russia, she could use her connections to get herself clean. All she needed was time. One day, she would make her comeback.

And there was Gregory, Sebastian’s father. He had promised her as well that once she returned to Russia, he would help her take control of the Lincoln family.

“Zane… no, I guess I should call you Samuel now,” Cynthia sneered. “You must be feeling pretty pleased with yourself, finding out you actually have blood ties to the Lincoln family. But don’t get ahead of yourself. That tiny bit of blood connection doesn’t mean you get to inherit the Lincoln family. At the end of the day, you and your sister aren’t even Lincolns. Your last name is Anderson. Even if that old man Benedict wanted to hand

everything over to you, the extended Lincoln relatives would never go along with it.”

“So that’s why you went after my sister,” Samuel shot back. “You were afraid we’d inherit the Lincoln family, so you trial to day.”

“Enough!” Samuel barked.

The image flashed through his mind again. Riley, alone in the fire, dragging Cynthia with one arm, holding Sebastian up with the other, her broken leg barely supporting her as she forced herself forward step by step. His chest tightened painfully.

If it hadn’t been for him, Riley could have abandoned Cynthia long ago.

“Cynthia,” Samuel said coldly, his voice laced with fury, “this is your final warning. If you ever hurt my sister again, I swear I’ll make you regret being alive.”
