“Quinn! Get back here and explain yourself! What the hell is going on?! You dared to cheat on me with another man? Forget it-you’ll never get me back now!” Felix roared, his voice echoing through the mall.

Quinn ignored him completely.

How does such a narcissistic jerk even exist?

Then she thought about his mother, Diana-always spoiling her son like he was a god.

No wonder Felix has such a huge ego.Only someone like Diana would see a fool like Felix as a treasure.

She shook her head with a smile. Letting go of the past felt amazing-she’d never been more relaxed.

Her earlier resentment hadn’t been about Felix. It had been about feeling worthless. She’d given so much love and effort, only to be betrayed. Of course it had hurt. But now, all that was behind her. A new chapter was waiting for her.

“Quinn, stop right there!” Felix shouted, rushing forward to stop her. But Quinn didn’t look back-she just kept walking away.

Felix was livid.

How dare she treat me like this? Who does she think she is? Where does she get the nerve?

“Felix, calm down,” Lila said, putting a hand on his arm. Her voice was soft and worried. “It seems like Quinn has found someone else. Oh my god-I can’t believe she’d go this far. She must have found him on purpose to make you mad, just because you two fought.”

“You think she did this on purpose too?” Felix asked, clinging to the idea.

“I’m not sure,” Lila replied, feigning uncertainty. “But she loved you so much before. She must be trying to anger you on purpose now.”

“Hmph, I knew it!” Felix snapped. There was no way this was a coincidence. They’d just walked into the store, and suddenly someone was giving Quinn a necklace? It had to be a show- something she’d set up herself!

“But Felix… what if Quinn really is seeing someone else?” Lila pressed, her eyes full of fake concern. “You need to keep an eye on her. Don’t let her leave you without knowing where she’s gone.”

“Don’t worry, I will. Lila, you’re such a sweet, thoughtful sister,” Felix said, patting her hand.

Lila blushed, looking up at him with adoration. “I just want you to be happy, Felix.”

“I know. Pick anything you want-I’ll buy it for you,” Felix said, his anger fading a little as he turned his attention to Lila.

“Really? Thank you, Felix!” Lila cheered, her eyes lighting up.

Meanwhile, after leaving the mall, Quinn pulled out her phone and called Peyton.

“Hello? Did you send me that necklace?” she asked straight away.

“Yes. Do you like it?” Peyton’s deep, smooth voice came through the line. Quinn instinctively pulled the phone away from her ear for a second-his voice was surprisingly pleasant.

As soon as she hung up with Peyton, her phone rang again. It was her brother, Kieran.

“Hello? Since when have you been so busy, Miss Quinn Hart?” Kieran’s voice was laced with mock annoyance.

Quinn chuckled, “I was just on a call. I didn’t expect you to reach out right now. What’s up?”

“Can’t I call you if I don’t have anything important to say?” Kieran teased. “You’ve really grown up, haven’t you?”

“Shut up.

I didn’t do it on purpose. Spit it out—what do you want? If you have something to say, say it. If not, I’m hanging up!” Quinn joked.

“Tsk, so fierce,” Kieran muttered. “I’m coming to see you. I’ll help you deal with all that mess left behind. I don’t want that scumbag bothering you anymore.”

“Kieran, do you think I can’t handle it myself?” Quinn asked, touched but also a little amused. Kieran seemed to underestimate her. She wasn’t that weak.
