Quinn was laid-back and never cared much about these kinds of events. She was thrilled that two people who cared about her were willing to take charge.

But she also worried about how much work it would be. With both the Hart and Reed families being prominent, their engagement would draw a huge crowd. Her father and Peyton’s grandma had spent decades building their reputations in the business world.

Their engagement would be the talk of the town. Everyone would want to celebrate with them.

“Work? We’d be thrilled!” Doris exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. “It’s settled then. We’ll handle everything! We’ll pick a date tomorrow when we play cards and take care of all the details in the meantime.”

Doris was overjoyed at the chance to plan her daughter’s engagement.

“Don’t pay attention to what they say. Let them talk all they want. If they dare to do anything behind your back, James and I won’t let them get away with it!”
