Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1025

"You might have a thick skull, but you should probably watch out too," Juniper replied coolly, her expression utterly detached. "Because my racket doesn't have eyes either."

Sheryl let out a harsh laugh, finding the girl's audacity unbelievable.

Was she actually trying to threaten her?

"Alright then." Sheryl scoffed, dropping all pretense of civility. "Let's see if you can keep that smug smile on your face once we start."

"Right back at you."

Juniper paused for a second before lazily tossing the words back.

Sheryl froze, genuinely irritated by her nonchalance.

Fine.

In a few minutes, she’d show this arrogant bitch exactly who was boss.

The whistle blew, signaling the start of the final match.

Sheryl secured the first serve. She channeled every ounce of her strength into her arm and launched the ball with explosive force.

The angle was dead-on. It was hurtling straight for Juniper's face.

Juniper stood in her ready stance, her eyes locked coolly on the neon green blur rocketing toward her.

At the very last millisecond, she simply tilted her head. The ball whizzed past her ear and bounced harmlessly near the baseline.

Sheryl took the first point.

15-0.

"Woo!"

The premeds in the stands erupted, cheering wildly and laughing.

She couldn't even return a single serve?

What was the point of even playing?

Why didn't she just forfeit now and save everyone the time?

The computer science students were scowling, their moods souring rapidly.

They weren't worried about Juniper missing a shot; they were furious because Sheryl was blatantly aiming to injure.

It was completely intentional!

Even Sheryl was a little surprised that Juniper was so pathetic she couldn't even touch the ball.

Wow, she really wasted all that effort tampering with the rackets.

At this rate, she wouldn't even need that backup plan.

The ball streaked across the court like a bullet.

Sheryl went pale, lunging desperately to reach it, but she was a second too late.

It grazed the edge of her frame and slammed into the ground behind her.

Point to Juniper.

The medical students fell dead silent, exchanging confused whispers.

"Does it look like Sheryl is struggling? Isn't she supposed to be a pro?"

"Look at Juniper... she’s not even breaking a sweat."

"Maybe Sheryl is just warming up. She hasn't gotten serious yet!"

"Holy crap, Sheryl just lost another point."

Yolanda was frowning deeply, her phone held up to record.

She had planned to capture a video of Juniper getting completely humiliated.

Instead, all she was recording was a highlight reel of Juniper dominating the court.

Frustrated, Yolanda aggressively deleted the footage.
