Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1259

"Then we'll just die together."

Luella replied with a careless shrug, hands shoved deep into her pockets.

Juniper didn't say a word. She just stared at her, her disapproval radiating in waves.

"Okay, okay, fine."

Luella threw her hands up in defeat. "Even if there's a fight, I won't let myself get hurt, alright?!"

"I'm your student after all. You think I'd let anyone get the drop on me?"

Juniper pressed her lips together. "I'll take that as a compliment."

"You're going to be late," Shanley wrapped an arm around Juniper's waist, his voice dripping with jealousy.

She had spent almost as much time talking to this Langley kid today as she had with him.

He was a guy. Why was Juniper treating him with such delicate care?

She even bought him a burger.

*Hmph.*

Such fine attention to detail.

*Tsk.*

Seeing right through the old fox's jealousy, Luella let out a snort. "I'm leaving."

She then turned to Jimmie with exaggerated politeness, "After you."

Jimmie shot her a look. Talk about a quick change of face.

"Let's go."

Jimmie stood up, pulling his cap low and adjusting his mask to ensure he was completely unrecognized.

"If you're wearing all that, you can't exactly eat that burger, right?"

Luella's eyes were glued to the food in his hand, looking like they were about to fall out of her head.

Jimmie: "?"

Luella: "Don't let it go to waste. Give it to me."

Before he could react.

She snatched it back from him, instantly taking massive bites out of fear he might reclaim it. Her cheeks puffed out as she chewed.

Watching this "boy" stuff his face, Jimmie shook his head helplessly, almost letting another smile slip.

Catching himself, he immediately squashed the amusement, his expression returning to its usual icy calm. "Walk faster."

"Sure."

Luella didn't care about his tone, cheerfully jogging to keep up while still chewing.
