Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1331

“Three days?”

Juniper's gaze turned icy as she said “Got it” to Clark. She hung up the phone.

Tossing her device to Shanley, she took a step back.

Shanley: “What are you planning?”

Juniper looked at the door. It looked expensive. Breaking it would definitely cost money.

Thinking for a second, she walked up to the electronic lock and started tinkering.

After two wrong tries, the third one finally worked.

“How do you know his password?” Shanley narrowed his deep eyes.

“I don't.” Juniper raised an eyebrow, smirking. “I just observed the smudges on the keypad and tested the three most logical combinations.”

“Brilliant as always.” Shanley couldn't help but grasp her hand, murmuring gently, “Let's go in and see how miserable Jimmie is.”

They walked in, looking around.

“Jimmie?” Shanley called out.

Suddenly, a noise came from the bedroom. The door opened.

Wearing pajamas, with messy hair and sleepy eyes, Jimmie stepped out. Seeing the couple sneaking around like burglars, he froze.

“Juniper, you old fox, what are you two doing here?”

“Checking to see if you'd died of a broken heart,” Juniper said, tossing her bag onto the sofa. “But you actually look perfectly fine.”

“I'm alright.” Jimmie tightened his robe's belt and went to the kitchen to grab them some drinks.

Seeing how energized and cheerful he was, Shanley and Juniper exchanged confused glances.

“Don't worry, I'll be back to work tomorrow.”

After all, Luella loved money. If he didn't earn enough, how could he give her the wedding of the century?

“As long as you're okay,” Shanley sighed in relief. “You weren't answering your phone or the door, so we thought...”

“Let's go home, Juniper.”

As Shanley pulled her up to leave, Juniper suddenly turned back, looking at Jimmie seriously. “Jimmie, do you still like Luella?”

“Yes.” Jimmie answered without hesitation. “Juniper, I love her.”

“Good.” Juniper rubbed her nose, her tone stern. “From today on, focus on acting and stay away from other people. Who knows? Maybe Luella will change her mind and come back to you.”

“Did Luella ask you to keep an eye on me?” Jimmie smirked, practically brimming with confidence. “I knew it. She's head over heels for me too.”
