Chapter 4L
Chapter 41
Amelia’s POV
We packed in silence the next morning. Ryder folding clothes into his bag with more force than needed while I tucked inme carefully away. The room already looked bare, like we’d never been here at all. A weight setfied just under my lungs making it hard to breathe, but I pushed past it.
When we stepped into the hall, Sloane was waiting. Her arms were crossed, her eyes sharp as ever, but there was no anger there.
“Thank you,” I said quietly. “For everything. For helping me when I couldn’t even help myself.”
Sloane inclined her head. “Strength was always in you. I just reminded you how to use it.”
I swallowed, then glanced past her shoulder, searching. “Where’s Dane?”
Her expression softened a fraction. “He’ll be fine. He only needs time.”
The words eased me and hurt at the same time. I nodded. “Please tell him… I’ll miss him.”
Sloane didn’t promise, but I knew she’d carry the message in her own way. Ryder’s hand pressed lightly to my back. guiding me forward.
The flight was quiet. Ryder slept most of the way, his body still healing, his head heavy against my shoulder. I stared out the window at the sweep of clouds, trying to imagine what it would feel like to step back into Pawmoon after everything that had happened.
When we landed, I didn’t have to imagine. The moment we stepped through the gates, people gathered-faces I knew. voices calling my name. Warriors, maids, even the kitchen staff/I’d once burned soup with. Their smiles were wide some teary, some relieved. They weren’t just welcoming Ryder back/They were welcoming me too.
“Luna,” someone said, bowing low. The word shook something loose in my chest.
Ryder kept a hand around mine as we walked through the crowd. His grip was firm, protective, but not smothering I couldn’t remember the last time I felt this alive, like I wasn’t a shadow but someone who truly belonged.
By the time we reached Ryder’s quarters, the adrenaline had drained out of me. He kicked the door shut befund is dropped his bag to the floor, and pulled me close before I could even set mine down
“You’re really here,” he murmured against my hair.
“I’m not going anywhere,” I whispered back.

The bathroom filled with steam as Ryder turned on the water We shipped out of our clothes, not rushing her shy He eased into the tub first, then reached a hand for me I slid in, settling between his legs, his arms comming around a ir ter they were made to be there
For a while, there was nothing but the sound of water and our breathing My back rested against his chest his chin tucked over my shoulder. His heartbeat thumped steady against me, proof he was alive, proof this wasn’t a dreamt
His lips brushed the curve of my neck. I shivered, leaning back into him. His hands traced over me caretul and almost hesitant, like he was afraid to push too far
When I turned to face him. his mouth found mine. The kiss started soft then deepened rings and despierte die weeks of fear poured into one touch. This hand slid to my watst pulling me lover be tuath rough ae wrist mis lips.

Chapter 4L
Haby. The raspod voice thick with need
“I know,” I whispered, kissing him again, my fingers clutching at his shoulders
For a moment, it felt like nothing else mattered. The prophecy, the pain, the distance-it all burned away under the heat
between us.
But when his hand slipped lower and the kiss edged past control. I pressed my forehead to his and whispered “Not yet”
