“I was never gonna let him off the hook anyway, plus Charlie had already given him a good beating,” Estelle said in a hushed voice, then even quieter, “This ain’t your business, go wait outside.”

Jonathan looked angry, but there was a trace of deep worry in his eyes, “You afraid I’ll get involved?”

Estelle frowned at him.

Charlie had already turned around, holding Kya in his arms when Jonathan started swinging; hearing the woman’s shriek and worked up voices from behind, he shot her a disgusted look.

Alec was helped into a chair, taking a good while to catch his breath. His wife was still yelling loudly, demanding the police immediately arrest Jonathan.

The young police captain stepped forward, “Alexa, cool your jets, we’ve reviewed the surveillance fpotage, indeed it was your son who pushed the little girl first, almost knocked her down. You didn’t apologize and insulted them. You’re in the wrong here!”

“How are we wrong? Kids will be kids. She’s an adult picking on my little boy. Isn’t she ashamed?”

Alexa pointed at Estelle while cursing, then quickly pulled back her hand seeing Jonathan’s terrifying glare.

The police continued, “According to the footage, Ms. Macclain was very polite; it’s your attitude that’s terrible. You started insulting. people without knowing the whole story!”

“Where do you work?” the captain asked.

Alec instantly puffed out his chest, proudly saying, “I’m the Business Manager at Helix Innovations.”

Helix Innovations was a business owned by the James family, quite influential in J City. Those who worked there were all industry elites.

However, being an industry elite didn’t necessarily make you a moral example.

After Alec finished, Jonathan gave Charlie a meaningful look, chuckling lightly. Charlie was a bit surprised, slightly frowning, feeling very ashamed that his company had such an employee.
