Alec’s phone suddenly rang. He glanced at it, picked it up, and immediately put on a fawning smile, “Brody, you’re here? And the Deputy Chief too? Great, great, great! I’m right inside the police station, sorry for the trouble!”

He said a bunch, then hung up, his expression even more arrogant. “Just you wait and see!”

Estelle whispered to Charlie, “Is’ Helix Innovations really that powerful?”

Charlie didn’t know how to respond, so he just chuckled, “It’s alright!”

Estelle let out a cold laugh, “If the employees are like this, the company can’t be that good!”

Jonathan, standing behind her, couldn’t help but snicker, enjoying Charlie’s awkwardness.

“Kya’s mom and Alexa had a fight, even got physical, they’ve been taken by the police,” the nanny said anxiously.

Brody and the Deputy Chief arrived soon after, Alec immediately greeted them with a beaming smile, “Brody, Cam, I apologize for bringing you here. They’ve just been too outrageous, assaulting my son and my wife, even trying to hit me here!”

Alexa joined in, sobbing, “Brody, Cam, we’ve been bullied and mistreated. You have to stand up for us!”

The man called Brody didn’t smile, “Who’s been so bold?”

“It’s them!” Alec pointed at Charlie, Estelle, and Jonathan, “It’s them!”

Brody followed his finger and looked over. He was surprised when he saw Jonathan, and his face completely changed when he saw Charlie.
