Chapter 1333 

Charlie packed up his clothes, swung open the door, and prepared to split. 

Emily suddenly had a thought and spun around to chase after him 

Charlie was already at the door, his hand poised to push it open. 

Emily sprinted over and planted herself in front of the door, her eyes welling with tears. “It’s pouring rain out there, where the hell are you planning on going?” 

Charlie tried to keep his cool Emily, I’m cutting you some slack tonight, don’t push my buttons!” 

Emily shook her head. “You can’t hit the road, you could crash in the quest room, you could even decide to cut me out of your life after this, but you can’t leave tonight

With that he reached for the door handle. 

Emily firmly blocked his path. “No matter what, you’re not leaving tonight” 

Charlie’s eyes hardened, he pushed her aside and tried to open the door again. 

Emily lunged forward, wrapping her arms around his waist and burying her face in his chest, her sobs muffled “Charlie, what do you want from me? What the hell do you want me to do?” 

Charlie listened to her helpless sobs, his heart wrenching 

“Let me go!” 

“No” Emily shook her head, her voice firm. 

“Then I let you go: you head back to Oakdale City, and don’t ever come back; don’t ever show your face to me again,” Charlie said softly 

Emily froze. She looked up at him, her heart filled with sudden panic and pain. 

“Can you let me go now?” The pain in Charlie’s eyes was evident as he stared at her. 

Emily gripped his shirt tightly. She knew he had made up his mind. She should let him go, let him leave, and cut all ties. 

Charlie grabbed her hand, pushed her off him, and reached for the door handle again. 

The door swung open, and the cold outside air rushed in. 

Emily stood still, head down, feeling empty inside. The wind blew against her, cold and painful, she felt numb all over. 

With a slam, Charlie suddenly closed the door and pushed Emily against it, kissing her fiercely 

Emily took a sharp breath, staring into his wild eyes, her emotions churning. Her mind went blank; she held him tight, stopped struggling, and let him kiss 

her. 

1 take it back. Forget what I said earlier, Emily. Get ready to be tangled up with me for a lifetime.” Charlie bit her fiercely. “I won’t let you go, never.” 

Tears streamed down Emily’s face again. She closed her eyes and whispered, “I won’t leave, I won’t run anymore, not until you’ve had enough.”

Charlie picked her up and carried her to the couch in the living room, pressing her under him. 

Emily suddenly felt a wave of fear. She didn’t know if it was because of the painful memories of that night or her ambiguous relationship with Charlie. If sex was involved, things might get even more complicated. 

“Can I think about what you just said?” Emily pleaded quietly. 

“No, you don’t have a choice!” Charlie kissed her passionately. 

“Charlie” Emily choked out his name. 

Charlie stopped and looked down at her, asking. “What the hell are you so worried about?”
