Estelle was standing next to her, trying not to laugh. Magdalen never minced her words!
Linda’s face turned sour, just as she was about to lose her temper, Magdalen suddenly whipped out a pile of gold bars from her limited edition bag.
Yes, pure gold bars!
Everyone was stunned.
Magdalen smiled and said, “Emily’s brother, Elliott, is getting married, and as Emily’s best friends, Ella and I didn’t prepare anything special. Just a small gift for the bride’s family. Hope you guys won’t turn up your noses at it!”
With that, Magdalen placed ten gold bars on the table and said with a smile, “Help yourself!”
Everyone’s eyes lit up at the sight of the shiny gold bars on the table.
This was real gold, and each bar weighed at least thirty grams
This wasn’t just gold bars. This was a pile of money!
Andrea and other relatives, without any pretence, reached out to grab some, showing their gratitude as they did.
“You all don’t have to be shy. These are gifts from us on behalf of Emily to the bride’s family,” Magdalen said with a smile.
Linda glanced at Kenny and also reached out to grab one. Just then, Magdalen suddenly said, “Hold up!”
Magdalen took back the last two gold bars, her voice turned cold, “Some people can just forget it. Being neither family of the bride nor relatives of Emily, it doesn’t seem like they’re entitled to receive Emily’s gifts!”
Linda was shocked. Earlier, there was a Mr. James backing Emily up. Now there were these two big spenders. Emily really had some pull!
“Magdalen, Estelle!”

Well, well, well. I love how Gonzalez sent out the warning that he's the CEO and either they will acknowledge him as such or get their due diligence.
