Chapter 1463 

Zachary’s grin got even bigger. 

Luisa brought over a plate of spicy meat pasta and set it right in front of Xavier, chuckling softly. “Zachary said you like spicy food, I made this just for you, give it a 

taste?” 

Xavier smiled and said, “Smells delicious, thank you!” 

Luisa winked at him and said, “oh, you’re too polite. Zachary considers you as a brother, so do I, as long as you’re cool with it.” 

Norah looked at Luisa’s fake smile and felt sick. 

Zachary was laughing like a loon, “Yeah, we’re all family.” 

Xavier just smiled and kept quiet. 

Luisa poured everyone a drink and lifted her glass, laughing. “Ever since I got together with Zachary, Xavier and everyone else have been looking after me like a family. I want to propose a toast to all of you.” 

Everyone lifted their glasses. 

Without changing her expression, Luisa gulped down her drink. 

Damian chuckled, “Who would’ve thought that you’re such a booze hound, Luisa!” 

“I actually don’t drink much. Im just over the moon today!” Luisa laughed and poured herself another one, her eyes filled with affection as she looked at Xavier, “Xavier, please take care of me in the future. I want to make a toast to you.” 

Xavier clinked glasses with her and downed his drink. 

Luisa also finished her drink, then started serving Xavier, “Try this, see if you like it.” 

Norah watched as Luisa kept leaning towards Xavier, almost touching him. But no one else seemed to notice, Zachary and Damian and the others were engrossed in their conversation, too busy to keep an eye on what was happening around them, 

Norah felt suffocated, she had no appetite left. 

“Norah, have some food. If you’re not used to it, let me know, I’ll make something else for you, Luisa said gently 

Norah knew that she was doing it on purpose, but to everyone else, Luisa just seemed warm and thoughtful, there was no fault to be found. 

Zachary looked her way, possibly remembering something from before, he seemed a bit awkward, “Norah, if you have any complaints, just let Luisa know. She’s a straight shooter, may overlook some details sometimes. For my sake, cut her some slack” 

Norah didn’t know what to say anymore. 

Xavier came to her rescue, laughing, “No worries, you guys are overthinking. Norah isn’t hungry because she had too much coffee, not because she doesn’t like Luisa’s food. Leave her be, keep eating”” 

Only then did Zachary laugh, “Norah, let me drink to you” 

Norah picked up her glass and clinked it against Zachary’s. 

She was drinking juice, took a sip and let Zachary do as he pleased. But Zachary, in his attempt to apologize on behalf of Luisa, downed his entire glass of alcohol After this little episode, everyone got back into the swing of things, the atmosphere became even more lively 

Norah sat next to Xavier, watching everyone drink she also wanted to have some, so she whispered to Xavier, “Pour me some of your drink” 

Xavier frowned, “You’re still young, alcohol isn’t good for you, stick to your juice” 

Norah muttered, I’m not a kid anymore!” 

Luisa overheard their conversation, turned her head and gently suggested, “Maybe Norah could try a bit of alcohol. I heard she’s about to graduate, she’ll have to socialize in her career, might as well start practicing now.” 

Xavier was firm, “No can do. I don’t mind elsewhere, but not here. She’s not drinking” 

Luisa’s eyes flickered, she mildly scolded, “Why are you so strict with Norah? We’re not out, you don’t need to worry about her being treated unfairly” 

Norah, hearing Luisa’s coquettish voice, fost interest, she said to Xavier, “Fine, I’ll listen to you, I won’t drink” 

Lusa laughed, implying something. “Mr Flemmings really treats Norah like a child” 

“She is a child” Xavier retorted 

Norah was peeved, she turned her head towards Damian to chat, not wanting to pay any more attention to the two of them.
