Estelle suddenly remembered the news articles Wolf had shown her. She hadn't paid much attention at the time, just noticed a lot of people badmouthing her in the comments. With Wolf's passing, she hadn't had the heart to follow up on it, but now her curiosity spiked. "What's been going on?"

Jonathan locked eyes with her, "Ella, we're going public with our relationship sooner than planned!"

Her eyes clear, Estelle nodded, "Okay!"

"Good girl!" Jonathan kissed her affectionately. "Once we're public, I won't let anyone bother you. You'll still have the easy life you're used to."

Estelle lay back with a smile, thinking it didn't matter; as long as he was with her, she feared nothing!

Jonathan handed her a detox pill and a glass of water, frowning slightly, "You've been taking these for days. Why aren't they working?"

Estelle still couldn't fully wake from her stupor.

He'd had the biotech company's pharmacists check the medication; it was definitely fine.

Taking the pill from him, Estelle said, "They are working. I haven't had any auditory hallucinations during the day."
