Gabriel acted with lightning speed, his reactions far surpassing those around him. By the time anyone else could even think to move, Baron was already subdued under his grip.
Baron's wrist was broken, the pain so intense it caused beads of cold sweat to form on his forehead. He glared at Gabriel with fury, hissing through clenched teeth, "Go on, kill me if you dare!"
Gabriel's eyes were cool and detached, his voice dripping with disdain. "Even back in the day, you couldn't stand being trained by me. Came at me in secret, spouting the same bold words. After all these years, you'd think you'd have picked up a new line—or better yet, some actual skills!"
Baron, infuriated, charged at Gabriel with all the wildness and brutality that came from being raised in a family that never played by the rules. His life had been one of lawlessness, never putting anyone above himself. His disdain and jealousy towards Gabriel ran deep.
As Baron lunged at Gabriel, Audrey suddenly leaped out of the car, aiming herself at Gabriel with intent.
With a swift kick, Gabriel sent Baron flying, then turned and slapped Audrey away with the back of his hand.
Audrey hit the ground with a thud, quickly wiping the blood from her mouth before sneering at Gabriel, "I'd love to see what you think you can do to me."
Seeing Baron no longer under direct threat, the onlookers surged towards Gabriel with renewed vigor.
Baron seized the opportunity to slip away, rummaging through the car's trunk to find some wooden sticks to makeshift a splint for his wrist.
Meanwhile, Sylvia had managed to free Lydia from the pole she was tied to, draping her own coat around the girl, "Find somewhere to hide and wait for me, okay? Don't be scared!"
It seemed Baron hadn't done much to Lydia, aside from stripping her clothes to intimidate and bait her and Gabriel into coming.
Lydia was a mess, her eyes swollen from crying, her body shaking uncontrollably. "B-boss..."
With a loud crack, the weapon fell from Audrey's grasp. Despite her pain, Audrey lashed out with a punch, which Sylvia easily caught, twisting and breaking her arm in one fluid motion. Audrey screamed in agony.
Sylvia tossed her aside like a ragdoll, then landed another blow on her shoulder with the stick.
Audrey was left with no choice but to take the beating. Sylvia's movements were sharp and graceful, every strike precise and powerful. She embodied Gabriel's description perfectly: all style, yet utterly unbeatable.
Battered and bruised, Audrey eventually fell to her knees, powerless to fight back.
Looking down at her, Sylvia asked coldly, "Still think you can take me on?"
Audrey looked up, fear mingling with her hatred, but the fight had gone out of her.
