Sylvia frowned, "Dare to glare at me? Careful, or I'll poke your eyes out!"
"No, please!" Audrey cowered in fear.
With a swift movement of her eyebrows, Sylvia spun around and landed a solid hit with her baseball bat on the face of someone attempting to sneak up on her, knocking out two of his teeth. Behind him, a group of more than ten people charged at her, probably thinking they couldn't take down Gabriel and decided to target her instead.
Her eyes cool and composed, she spun and kicked, the bat slicing through the air!
But it had been too long since her last fight, and surrounded by the crowd, her movements began to slow. After taking a hit to the shoulder, she gritted her teeth, executed a stunning back kick that floored two men, and then made her escape.
If you can't win, run. There's no shame in living to fight another day!
Gabriel, on the other hand, stood firm, with more than a dozen adversaries laid out around him. The others, likely bribed heavily by Baron, refused to back down and charged at him like they were on a suicide mission.
Gabriel's combat style was straightforward and lethal, aiming for vital points with swift, powerful movements. Even when outnumbered, he stood unshakable, like a mountain that refused to be moved.
Catching sight of Sylvia running towards him, Gabriel kicked several switchblades into the air, clearing a path through the chaotic crowd with their chilling gleam.
Sylvia raced along the illuminated path and threw herself into his arms, shouting, "I can't hold them off anymore!"
Running towards him, she dove into his embrace.
Without missing a beat, Gabriel scooped her up with one arm, his movements fluid. With a spin, he landed a kick squarely on an assailant's chest, sending him flying and knocking down others in the process.
The cabin echoed with screams and cries that pierced the roof and soared across the forest, startling flocks of birds into the sky.
With half of Baron's goons down, the remaining looked at Gabriel with fear in their eyes.
Tapping Gabriel on the shoulder, she declared, "I'll handle him!"
Gabriel, understanding her pent-up anger, let her down gently, "Go ahead, let off some steam. But don't get your hands dirty, leave the dirty work to me afterwards!"
"Got it."
With Gabriel covering her, Sylvia quickly made her way out of the encirclement and hopped onto a car.
Baron was hiding behind the vehicle, holding a gun, peeking out occasionally, hoping for a chance to strike Gabriel.
This time, as he raised his gun, a chilling voice came from above, "Don't move!"
