Baron stiffened.
Sylvia sneered, "Now it's my turn to say, don't move!"
Baron's face was tight, his gaze flickering. "Where did you get a gun?"
"Found it. Believe it or not?" Sylvia jumped down from the truck, kicked the gun out of Baron's hand with a swift move, and stood in front of him, aiming at his forehead. "Now do you understand you've messed with the wrong person?"
"Just you? You think you can kill me?" Baron still had a defiant look, his disdain mixed with malice. "I admit, I underestimated Gabriel, but what can a little street fighting do? Try touching me and see!"
"My brother also told me not to dirty my hands over you, but what can I do, I just want to personally take care of you!" Sylvia's gun was still pointed at his head, slowly starting to lower. "Like to mess with women?"
Baron crouched slightly, looking up at her and involuntarily backing away. "What do you want to do?"
"Arrogance comes with a price!"
Sylvia cocked the gun.
This time, Baron's face finally changed, his eyes showing a hint of panic. "Sylvia, don't be crazy, if you hurt me, I will—"
Bang!
Sylvia fired the gun, hitting her mark with precision!
"Ah!"
Baron fell to the ground, blood gushing between his legs. His eyes widened, despair hitting his brain before the pain. He was stunned for a moment before letting out a piercing scream.
Sylvia watched him indifferently. "Enjoy your pain now, because in the days to come, it'll be much worse!"
Gabriel walked up, glanced at the writhing Baron on the ground, and took off his coat to put on her. "Feel better?"
Sylvia wiped the blood off his face with her hand, smiling softly.
"Absolutely delightful!"
She looked back at the men lying on the ground, asking, "Shall we go now?"
Sylvia reached to take off his coat, but Gabriel held her hand, pulling the coat tighter around her. "Keep it on, it's cold outside!"
Sylvia locked eyes with him. "Come back soon, I'll wait for you."
"Alright."
Gabriel replied softly.
In the dimly lit car, their gazes locked, and he couldn't remain hard-hearted. Under her gaze, he leaned down and kissed her cheek softly.
A light kiss, yet it made Sylvia's heart race more than any embrace.
She took a few deep breaths to calm herself, then said, "I'm heading up now!"
"Mhm."
Sylvia wrapped herself in the coat, carrying his warmth with her, and opened the door to leave the car.
