Sophia steered the car, with Tina in the passenger seat, leaving the studio behind. After about thirty minutes, they pulled up in front of a sprawling suburban mansion.
As they walked towards the entrance, Tina couldn't help but look around in awe. "These mansions must cost a fortune. Looks like we're dealing with a high-roller," she remarked.
Sophia remained silent.
Upon entering, they were greeted by Estelle, who emerged from the direction of the living room. Tina, a bit surprised, quickly switched to a respectful tone to greet Estelle.
Estelle nodded slightly and said to Sophia, "Connor will be here any minute!"
As they moved further inside, Sophia inquired, "Where did you find him?"
"H City!" came Estelle's reply.
Sophia was taken aback. "If he's not the culprit, why is he hiding?"
"Maybe he knows who is, but he's scared of them. Doesn't want to confront them, so he's laying low for now," Estelle reasoned.
Sophia nodded thoughtfully, "Makes sense."
Tina, who had been quietly listening, turned to Sophia and asked, "So, the person framing you has been found?"
"Almost there," Sophia repeated her earlier statement.
Just then, Sophia's phone buzzed with a new message.
It was from Jason, asking what time she'd be off work. Over there, it was just the crack of dawn, and he was oblivious to the turmoil of the online world, merely engaging in his usual chat with Sophia.
Sophia texted back, "Hanging out with Estelle, will be home late. I'll call you then."
Jason replied, "Estelle's at the studio?"
The two men, clearly working for Millard, retreated to the side, their silent presence adding a chill to the air.
Connor, now facing Estelle and Sophia, frowned. "What's this all about?"
Sophia asked sharply, "Mr. Connor, you know who took those photos and who uploaded them, don't you?"
"I-I have no idea," Connor stammered, his gaze flitting about. "I'm a victim here, just like Sophia. Yolanda's been after me non-stop. I even fled to H City to escape her!"
Estelle interjected, "So, you're hiding from Yolanda?"
"Exactly. I thought she was sweet at first, but now it's just temper tantrums and irrational demands. I can't stand being around her anymore!" Connor explained, clearly uncomfortable.
"Are you sure you know nothing, Mr. Connor?" Estelle pressed, her gaze sharp and unyielding.
