Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2613

“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry! I had no idea,” Jenny said quickly. “Ignorance is bliss, right? I’ll drink this one myself!”

A straightforward girl, Jenny drank the wine she had poured for Gabriel and replaced it with a glass of juice.

This time, Gabriel drank the juice.

Jenny immediately shot a triumphant look at the others, then turned back to Gabriel, her voice filled with excitement. “You drank my juice! That means we’re friends now.”

Gabriel gave a faint nod. “Alright.”

Grace smiled. “Is the record player fixed? Can we listen to it now?”

“I’ll go get it,” Jonas said, jumping up.

He drove the cart over and returned shortly. He and York brought out another table, placed the record player on it, and put on one of Grace’s vinyl records.

A pure, beautiful melody filled the air. Grace looked at Gabriel with a smile of admiration. “I can’t believe you actually fixed it. This thing is ancient, and some of the parts are broken beyond replacement. I didn’t think it would ever sound this good again.”

A small smile touched Gabriel’s lips. “I’ve worked on it once before. Luckily, I kept some spare parts.”

Listening to their conversation, Sylvia finally understood that the estate belonged to the Jarvis family.

Jonas put on a more upbeat record, livening the atmosphere. As everyone talked and laughed, Una and York got up to dance. Jonas invited Sylvia, but she politely declined. Jenny asked Gabriel, but he refused as well.

Left with no other options, Jenny and Jonas reluctantly became dance partners.

Soon, Jenny’s exasperated voice could be heard. “You stepped on my foot! Do you even know how to dance?”

“Where are you putting your hands? Trying to get fresh with me?”

Jonas looked like he was about to storm off, but Jenny just pulled him back.

Sylvia, still covering her mouth, shook her head. Once she caught her breath, she said with a small smile, “The juice was a little too sweet. It went down the wrong way.”

Gabriel ignored her and turned back to Grace. “Will you be returning to J City during this trip?”

Grace nodded. “In a few days, once the road to the school is cleared and I’ve sent the children back, I’ll head to J City.”

“You should go back,” Gabriel said. “Old Mr. Quintin has been waiting for you for a long time.”

Grace looked at him, her tone becoming heavy. “You, of all people, should understand how I feel.”

Gabriel was silent for a moment before saying softly, “You have to face it eventually.”

Grace lifted her glass and took a sip of wine, a bitter smile on her lips. “You’re right. I have to face it. Running away won’t solve anything.”
