Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2653

Sylvia blinked, then glanced at Gabriel's shoulder. She reached out to pick an umbrella.

"One is enough," Gabriel said, tugging her arm. "We don't have room for more." He pulled her along before she could protest.

Sylvia only had time to flash an apologetic smile at the vendor over her shoulder.

They found a pharmacy and went inside. As Sylvia approached the counter to list the medicines she needed, Gabriel pulled a slip of paper from his pocket and handed it to the pharmacist. "We need everything on this list."

Sylvia stared at the list, then looked at him in surprise.

"The administrator gave it to me," he said calmly. "Grace probably didn't know."

Sylvia managed a tight smile. Even if she had known, what could she have done?

While they waited for the pharmacist to gather the items, Sylvia wandered through the aisles. Her eyes landed on a display of vitamin gummies. She picked up a bottle and, in a low voice, asked Gabriel, "Do these actually work?"

He raised an eyebrow. "Are you taking them?"

"No, they're for the students," she shook her head. "A little get-well gift from me."

Gabriel frowned. "Then why are you whispering? I thought you were admitting to some secret illness."

Sylvia shot him a glare. "Of course not. I just... didn't want the pharmacist to hear."

"Why not?" he asked, genuinely confused.

"You wouldn't understand," she huffed, a hint of pride in her voice at finally knowing something he didn't. "If she heard me, she'd come over and start her sales pitch, telling me how amazing they are until I can't think straight."

"Hah," he scoffed. "As if anyone could ever confuse your judgment."

Sylvia slowed and turned.

Standing there was a blond man in a dark gray rain jacket. He looked to be in his forties, with deep-set eyes, a high-bridged nose, and a tall, handsome build. A look of delighted recognition was on his face, but it vanished the moment he saw Sylvia clearly.

"I'm so sorry, miss," he said, apologizing. "I've mistaken you for someone else."

He started to turn away, but a thought struck Sylvia. "Are you looking for Grace?" she asked.

The man spun back around, his eyes wide with surprise. "You know Georgia?" He took an excited step forward, reaching for her arm. "You really know her? Where is she?"

Before he could touch her, a dark shadow moved to her side. Gabriel, who had returned, grabbed her arm and pulled her behind him.

"Don't touch her," he said, his voice dangerously cold.
