This time, as soon as Sallie placed the balloon, Carson didn’t give Marina a chance to speak. He immediately lowered himself, and with a loud *pop*, the balloon burst.
The crowd cheered.
Sallie came over to place another balloon. Just as she finished, Marina suddenly wrapped her arms around Carson and whispered sweetly,
“Darling, I think I’m falling in love with you. What should I do? I don’t want to give you to my best friend anymore!”
Carson’s focus shattered instantly. He lost his balance and collapsed, sending the unpopped balloon shooting out to the side.
Marina tumbled to the ground with him, and everyone else dissolved into laughter.
Carson sat up, a look of pure exasperation on his face. He asked Sallie, “Can I just drink? I’ll take any kind of alcohol, no matter how strong.”
Sallie shook her head, smiling. “Nope, those are the rules.”
She then personally handed Carson a glass of juice. “Congratulations, Mr. Foster, on your third glass!”
Carson was speechless.
And they said this round was simple. Like hell he’d ever believe a woman again.
This time, as Carson drank the juice, he held the nauseating liquid in his mouth without swallowing. He grabbed a triumphant-looking Marina, leaned in, and kissed her, forcing the juice into her mouth.
Marina, shocked and embarrassed, accidentally swallowed some. Her eyes flew wide, and she nearly spat it out.
Carson immediately held her close, muffling her mouth. “Don’t spit it on me,” he mumbled, his voice hoarse. “I can’t get my suit dirty. Give it back to me.”
He then drew the unbearable concoction back into his own mouth.
Marina buried her face in his shoulder, and both of them started laughing uncontrollably.

After their initial struggles, the men gradually found their composure and stopped letting the women distract them. Balloons began to pop one after another.
Jonathan’s steps faltered. His heart was pounding violently in his chest. He stared at the closed door, fighting the urge to break it down.
“This door… isn’t going to open that easily, is it?” Charlie said, standing beside Jonathan. He gave the door a push, and sure enough, it wouldn’t budge.
“Who else is in there?” Carson asked, looking back.
Morrison adjusted his glasses and said with a faint smile, “My Magdalen.”
Carson immediately shouted, “Ms. Sampson, how do we get you to open the door? Say something!”
There was no sound from inside.
Usually, bridesmaids blocked the door to ask for gifts of money, but with Ms. Sampson, it was unlikely that cash would suffice.
And why was no one answering?
Carson tried again. “Ms. Sampson, ask for a house, ask for land—whatever you want! Or tell us what Jonah has to do. Drink alcohol, drink that juice… just say the word, and he’ll do it!”
