Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2845

Jonathan smiled, his handsome face warm. “This outcome is truly a happy one for everyone!”

At the beginning, at least, no one could have expected this.

Jason brought tissues for Sophia and Old Mr. Quintin, patting Sophia on the shoulder. “Stop crying. If you keep crying like this, Master won’t be able to calm down either.”

Sophia took the tissues and wiped Old Mr. Quintin’s tears. “Don’t cry, Master, please don’t cry!”

Old Mr. Jarvis also took a tissue from Estelle to wipe his eyes, then looked at Gabriel with an approving gaze. *My grandson did well.*

Gabriel’s lips curved upward as he looked at Sylvia.

Sylvia wasn’t crying. Her gaze toward him was almost helpless. It was a feeling she hadn't experienced in a long time, one that reminded her of when Gabriel had taken her from Citadel. She had sat in his car, not knowing where this man was taking her or what she was about to face, curled up on the seat in trepidation.

Now, she felt that way again.

Of course, there was also an unfamiliar warmth. She had a family now.

Georgia lifted her head and looked at Sylvia carefully, her eyes blurry with tears but full of a gentle light. She was smiling through her tears, her voice hoarse and choked. “The daughter I’ve been longing for all this time was right here beside me all along. We should have gotten to know each other better. Maybe we would have found out sooner!”

Sylvia reached out to wipe her tears and smiled. “This is good, too.”

“Yes, as long as we didn’t miss our chance, it’s good,” Georgia said, tears continuing to fall. “What happened all those years ago? Who took you away? And what happened after that?”

Sylvia tried hard to remember, then shook her head gently. “I don’t remember. It seems like I was often beaten back then, and my mind was always blank. My earliest memories are from my adoptive parents’ house. After they had their own child, they made it clear that I wasn’t their biological daughter, that they had found me by the river. They wanted me to know I owed them a debt of gratitude and had to repay them.”

“They hit you…” The thought of her little Nana being beaten and scolded caused Georgia unbearable pain, and she broke down in tears again.

Sylvia hugged her gently. “It’s all in the past.”
