Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2892

That one look from Gabriel sent a chill down Evelyn’s spine. She replayed her words in her mind—there hadn’t been any slip-ups, yet for some reason, she still felt as though Gabriel could see straight through her.

Outside the examination room, Gabriel found Sylvia waiting anxiously by the door. She didn’t notice him until he approached, her surprise evident as she turned to look at him.

Gabriel walked over and gave her a once-over. Fortunately, she seemed mostly fine, except for a light scrape on her arm.

“What are you doing here?” Sylvia asked.

Gabriel’s expression remained unreadable, his dark eyes fixed on her. “What did you promise me that night?”

Sylvia hesitated, then quickly recalled—the night at his house, when he told her not to see Eugene anymore.

She shook her head gently. “We haven’t had any contact outside of work!”

Gabriel reached out and rested his hand on her head, his presence bearing down on her, his tone calm but forceful.

“Has he found a place in your heart?”

Sylvia’s eyes shot up, just as she was about to respond, a nurse called out, “The tests are done! Family, please come over!”

Sylvia glanced at Gabriel, then turned to check on Eugene.

Gabriel watched her walk away, a sudden coldness spreading through his chest.

He didn’t believe Evelyn’s attempts to sow discord, but Sylvia—what exactly did Eugene mean to her?

After explaining what had happened and hearing Mrs. Winters’s anxious reaction, Sylvia kept it brief, simply asking her to come to the hospital, then hung up.

She stayed by Eugene’s bedside, waiting for his family.

With her phone in hand, Sylvia found her thoughts drifting to Gabriel—wondering how she might explain everything to him. But before she could call, the police contacted her first.

Since she had reported the accident, the police had already begun collecting evidence at the scene and needed her to confirm the details.

The driver who had brought her to the hospital had also been found, and Sylvia gave her statement, clarifying that he was not at fault and that the main responsibility lay with the car that initiated the collision.

Soon, the police arrived at the hospital to check on Eugene’s condition and continue their investigation.

While they were questioning her about the incident, Eugene’s assistant arrived, followed shortly by Mrs. Winters and then Mr. Winters.
