Evelyn was completely unnerved. Under Estelle’s cold, piercing gaze, her lips quivered and turned pale—she didn’t dare utter a single word.
Georgia saw through everything and let out a chilly laugh. “Today’s the day of the family reunion for me and my daughter—why else do you think I’m here?”
Mrs. Winters stared at Georgia, astonished. “What are you implying?”
Georgia addressed Old Mr. Quintin. “Dad, it looks like some of our guests still haven’t met Sylvia. Maybe it’s time you made a formal introduction.”
Old Mr. Quintin’s expression was tense, but as he turned to Sylvia, a gentle smile broke through. “Nana, come to your grandfather.”
Sylvia stepped to Old Mr. Quintin’s side.
The entire banquet hall fell completely silent—you could hear a pin drop.
Old Mr. Quintin took Sylvia’s hand, his face brimming with affection as he smiled warmly. “Thank you all for coming to the Quintin family’s reunion celebration. There’s an important announcement to make: this is Sylvia—Georgia’s biological daughter, and my granddaughter. From today on, Nana is officially recognized as part of the Quintin family!”
The room erupted with congratulations and applause.
Georgia continued, her smile gentle. “Twenty years ago, due to my own carelessness, Nana was lost. Twenty years have passed before our reunion. I give thanks for this blessing—now that Sylvia is finally back with us, I hope you’ll all welcome her warmly.”
Mrs. Winters was stunned. She looked back and forth between Sylvia and Evelyn, completely bewildered.
Georgia’s voice remained warm, with a hint of sympathy. “No one but a mother can truly understand the heartbreak of searching for her child for twenty years. It’s been so long, but the greatest fortune is having Nana found.”
She turned to Mrs. Winters, her gaze becoming ice-cold. “Now, Mrs. Winters, do you understand why Sylvia and I are here? If you do, I’ll have to ask you to leave.”
Mrs. Winters slapped Evelyn across the face, sending her stumbling backward—she nearly collided with a guest behind her.
Without pause, Mrs. Winters stormed forward, raining blows on Evelyn with both her hand and handbag, cursing and shouting in fury. The entire banquet hall devolved into chaos.
Evelyn shielded her face with her hands, crying uncontrollably.
The other guests looked on, whispering among themselves.
“What’s with Mrs. Winters?”
“Looks like she made a mistake—she thought that girl Evelyn was actually Miss Quintin!”

As the plot thicken. Adrian is done for and he can't try to control Norah, so he'd probably tattle to Janice who's gone for two weeks. Thank you soooo much for the updates....
