Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2966

The man leaned down and kissed the top of her head, his voice turning husky. “The night before you came, I didn't sleep at all.”

Sylvia lowered her lashes. “Me neither.”

Perhaps it was because she was so happy now, but when she looked back at that restless night, it no longer brought her sorrow.

Gabriel’s expression was reserved, but his tone was deep and earnest. “Even if you had left, I would have waited for you. You waited for me for so long; I can wait, too.”

A sharp, sweet ache pricked Sylvia's heart like being stung by an ant. She bit her lip. “Then why didn’t you ask me to stay?”

Gabriel bent his head and gently kissed her cheek, indulgence in his voice. “You wanted an extraordinary life—I can give you that. Whatever you want, I can give it to you!”

Sylvia turned her head slightly, locking eyes with him. “But all I want is you!”

Gabriel’s eyes grew even darker. “Then I’ll give myself to you.”

Sylvia’s gaze sparkled, as if the clouds had parted to reveal the moon, or spring sunlight had suddenly filled the air. She hugged him tightly. “We already belong to each other. It’s officially recognized.”

Gabriel let out a low, silent laugh. “Yes, Sylvia Jarvis.”

Sylvia’s eyes glimmered mischievously and she teased, “But I was the one who proposed. You never did.”

Gabriel was quiet for a moment, then pressed his cool lips softly to the corner of her mouth. His husky voice was irresistible.

“Sylvia, I love you.”

Sylvia’s heart trembled. She stared into his deep, dark eyes—an overwhelming flood of emotion surged within her, and tears nearly spilled out. Finally, she heard the words she'd been waiting for.

So many years of belief had finally paid off.

Tears shimmering in her eyes, she smiled broadly. “I really am amazing!”

“Of course you are,” the man replied.

Sylvia dropped her gaze, shifted her head, and kissed him, murmuring against his lips, “Mr. Carnes, you’re mine now.”

From the moment she first lay in his bed, she had been plotting how to truly win him—not just his body, but his heart.

She was an agent—his very best agent. She had never failed a single assignment.
