She then added Padgett and his wife, as well as Betty and Wilson.
If Wilson really had feelings for her, inviting him to the engagement party would finally make him give up and stop wasting his time and energy on her.
After some thought, she also added one of her college classmates, Sarah Sawyer.
She and Sarah had been in the same major and same class. They used to be very close. Later, her dad had asked Sarah for a loan, and Sarah had given it to him.
Her dad had borrowed money from several classmates without telling her. One by one, everyone slowly distanced themselves from her—except Sarah, who stayed a loyal friend.
But she was so afraid her dad would go back to Sarah for more that she used her busy part-time work schedule as an excuse to pull away from her.
Looking back on it now, she felt incredibly guilty. She was getting engaged and wanted Sarah to be there. It would be a way to make up for the regrets of the past.
She called her former college advisor to get the class group chat information, joined the group, found Sarah, and sent a friend request.
It was accepted almost instantly. Sarah excitedly sent a voice message. "Emily?"
Emily smiled warmly. "Sarah, how have you been?"
Sarah quickly started a voice call. "What have you been up to these past few years? You never joined the class chat, never came to any reunions... no one could find you!"
She laughed. "I just moved back to J City last year and haven't really reached out to anyone yet. I'm getting engaged, and I'd love for you to come. Are you free?"
She told her the date.
Sarah gasped. "You're getting engaged? Wow! I haven't even found a boyfriend yet, and the girl who swore off dating beats us all to the altar!"
"You'd better hurry up then!" Emily teased.
"Who else from class did you invite?" Sarah asked with a laugh. "We could have a mini-reunion beforehand! I really miss you."
"It's just the engagement party, so I'm not inviting a huge crowd. If you can make it, that's more than enough for me."
"I'll definitely be there!" Sarah promised. "Do you want me to let Jeanie know? She's asked about you a bunch of times too."

This was soooooo sooooo good! I loved it! Thank you for the updates....
Then Melanie and Noreen will both understand that Emily is his wife, who he chooses and cares to be with. We’ve already had so much drama when Emily took off for three years hiding her pregnancy from Charlie. Emily has already confessed that the only man she loves is Kya father, which Charlie is. Now he needs to boldly claim the only woman he loves is Emily…I just had to add my two cents (he he he)....
Now Charlie needs to take Emily to the marriage office like Gabriel did with Sylvia . Reassure her that he will not take for granted. Thank you for the updates. I’m loving it....
