Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3123

"She did at first, but she's already recovered, and the doctor said she's doing great!" Estelle frowned in confusion. "Let's go ask the doctor!"

The two found Norah's attending physician and explained the situation.

The doctor pondered for a moment. "There have been cases like this. It's a stress response from the patient herself. When rebuilding her memory, her brain instinctively blocked out memories that caused her pain. It's a kind of self-preservation mechanism, or you could call it a psychological block."

Xavier's heart sank. "Will she remember?"

The doctor shook his head. "It's hard to say. She might slowly remember, or she might forget forever."

A buzzing sound echoed in Xavier's mind, his eyes filled with shock and disbelief. She forgot him?

An indescribable panic rose from the depths of his heart, quickly spreading and covering his entire chest.

After her severe injury, Norah remembered everyone, even Simon Hanson, but she had forgotten him alone!

He suddenly recalled the night Norah had called him, sobbing continuously without saying a word.

The sound of that suppressed, sorrowful crying was clearly imprinted in his memory.

It was true. She had always walked toward him with optimism and courage, yet he had never given her the slightest response. He was always cold and harsh, even mocking and sarcastic.

He had only ever brought her pain. Because of that, she forgot him. She completely banished him from her life!

He had always told her to forget him. Now that his words had become a reality, why did he feel such an overwhelming sense of loss and pain?

Estelle couldn't bear seeing Xavier's panicked state and spoke up, "The doctor said there's still a chance she might remember..."

She stopped halfway through her sentence. For a moment, she didn't even know if she should hope Norah would remember Xavier.

She asked him, "Do you want to go see her again? I can help distract the others."

"Norah, over the past dozen days, I finally understood how you felt when you called me that night."

Ever since the day Norah was hit, he had been trapped in an endless nightmare.

Norah's playful smile, her lively and enchanting eyes, and the way she lay covered in blood in his arms that day constantly alternated in his mind.

She had told him so many times that she liked him. He remembered every single word, every single expression.

He couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. Even when he did fall asleep, he would see her with her eyes closed from that day.

He had underestimated her feelings for him, and her place in his heart was far more important than he had realized!

"Norah, why did you forget me? You're punishing me, aren't you?"
