Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3141

Gonzalez paused as he walked past the group of executives. "See that? We need to spar more often. It really builds the bond between a boss and his employees."

The staff stared, nodding blankly.

"You're absolutely right, Mr. Hanson!"

"Your moves are incredible, boss! So professional!"

"We'll definitely have to practice before we spar with you!"

Gonzalez gave a curt nod and walked away.

The executives let out a collective breath and hurried over to the boxing ring to check on Trevor Cromwell. Pity flashed in their eyes. The marketing head had taken a brutal beating.

An hour into the afternoon shift, Gonzalez had his assistant, Holly Jenkins, call Luke Shaw.

Holly relayed the message to Luke's assistant.

Luke had just returned from negotiating a contract. Hearing that Gonzalez wanted to see him, he scowled in annoyance. "He has zero competence but endless demands. I just got back, I'm sweating through my shirt, and I haven't even had a second to rest. What could possibly be so urgent? Let him wait!"

His young assistant poured him a cup of coffee, offering a flattering smile. "The boss looked like a fool at the morning meeting. He probably wants to get on your good side, Boss!"

Luke blew on his coffee and scoffed. "He's on borrowed time. He won't last long in this company."

"Which is exactly why you need to play your cards right," the assistant said.

Luke nodded smugly. "Obviously."

He took his time finishing his coffee before finally heading up to the executive floor to see Gonzalez.

"Yeah." Gonzalez took a few steps back, raising the bow and aiming squarely at Luke.

Luke's eyes bulged.

The president's office was massive. Gonzalez was standing near the floor-to-ceiling windows, easily forty feet away. Luke had no idea if the man was actually a good shot.

He froze, his back plastered against the wall, a sudden wave of panic hitting him. "Mr. Hanson, you're joking, right?"

This was a game for children! This guy was completely out of his mind!

"Don't move."

Gonzalez tilted his head slightly, locking onto his target. The muscles in his arms bunched as he drew the bowstring taut.

With a sharp twang, the arrow tore across the room, whistling straight for Luke's face.
