At the same time, it struck her as odd. If the pet had belonged to his girlfriend, why would he give Norah a bracelet with so much sentimental value?
Gonzalez lowered his gaze, slowly stirring his coffee. "Unfortunately, we broke up."
Norah suddenly understood. Feeling a bit awkward, she quickly consoled him. "It's okay. As long as you two still love each other, you'll definitely work through whatever issues you have and get back together."
Gonzalez fixed his dark eyes on her and nodded slowly. "I believe you. We will get back together."
Norah immediately smiled, her expression warm and vibrant.
After finishing half her coffee, the phone on the table buzzed. She glanced at it, looked out the window, and then turned back to say goodbye. "My driver is here. I have to go."
"Norah," Gonzalez asked suddenly, "what's your major?"
Norah blinked in surprise but quickly answered, "Economics and Financial Management."
Gonzalez's gaze softened. "Could I ask you for a favor, then? I really need to learn more about that field lately. I come here every Saturday. If you have the time, could you tutor me?"
Norah hadn't expected to ever be someone's teacher. She readily agreed. "Sure! But I might not be free every single Saturday."
"That's fine. Just come whenever you have time," Gonzalez said.
"No problem!" she agreed brightly.
She grabbed her phone and prepared to leave. The man across from her stood up at the same time. Just like before, he effortlessly scooped her up into his arms, his steps steady as he carried her toward the wheelchair.
This time, Norah didn't make a fuss. She even looked up at him.
His features were strikingly handsome, his jawline sharp and defined. His expression remained entirely serious, lacking even a hint of flirtation, which made Norah feel much more at ease.
Gonzalez set her gently in the wheelchair and pushed her toward the exit.
Norah looked back over her shoulder and smiled. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it," Gonzalez replied with a faint smile. "Since you're going to be my teacher, taking care of you is the least I can do."

The readers' comments on the novel: Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)
I'm so glad that Gonzalez was able to get Luke, Oliver and all others who wanted to challenge himas the CEO straight. Interesting how Xavier made reference to a girlfriend concerning his gift to Norah, but never did this before her accident. I'm grateful for the updates. Thank you...
I had a lot of catching up to do..oh buoy, what twist and turns. Loved every bit of it, thank you for keep updating the novel. Hoping for more love along the way....
May we please have updates. Thank you...
Someone needs to send a new picture of Trevor to Oliver and Luke so that they will get their requested reports to Gonzalez asap. If they didn't know, now they know what awaits them if they continue to disrespect and NOT follow orders....
Well, well, well. I love how Gonzalez sent out the warning that he's the CEO and either they will acknowledge him as such or get their due diligence. I'm waiting to see how the Franco family will be walking on eggs and come into a new understanding of Gonzalez taking charge. Thank you so much for the five updates....
Adrian is hoping that he has a chance with Norah and will do everything and anything in his power to keep Norah and Xavier apart....
Thank you for the updates. I hope that Norah will remember Xavier and their relationship before the accident and that they will ever be to....
Thank you, thank you for the updates today, which is also my birthday. The saga continues. I really want Norah and Xavier to be together... but he has to want Norah....
