Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3160

It was already late August, yet the summer heat remained sweltering.

Norah was beginning to prepare for her return to work. Adrian Chambers, on the other hand, was in no rush. He frequently found excuses to visit the Lamont estate, enjoying every opportunity they had to spend time alone.

The week flew by in a blink.

On Friday evening, Gonzalez was still sitting in his office after hours when a message from Sara lit up his phone: [Mr. Hanson, are you off work yet? Any plans for the weekend?]

Gonzalez ignored it. He was just about to put his phone face down when a second text buzzed through: [I found a fantastic camping spot. Want to head out this weekend to relax? We can invite Norah to come along too.]

Gonzalez stared at the screen for a long moment before finally sending his very first reply to her: [Where?]

Sara nearly dropped her phone in shock. Her hands were shaking so badly she could barely type out her response: [Southcliff Peak. It's about three hours away from the city. I've been there once before, the scenery is absolutely stunning. I've already got all the camping gear ready.]

Gonzalez: [What time are we leaving tomorrow?]

Sara had just walked through her front door. She practically collapsed onto her sofa in pure ecstasy as she fired back: [Does 7 AM work? Whatever you prefer, I'm completely flexible.]

Gonzalez: [7 AM is fine.]

Having successfully secured a date with the man of her dreams, Sara let out two piercing shrieks of joy and instantly dialed Norah's number. "Norah! I got him! Gonzalez is coming!"

Norah, who had just finished a grueling set of physical therapy exercises in the yard and was dripping with sweat, stared at her phone in shock. "Wait, seriously? Where are you guys going for your first date?"

"Camping," Sara squealed.

Norah was even more shocked. "You're going that hardcore on the first date?"

Sara paused before bursting into laughter. "What are you thinking? I'm not that easy! I just figured a road trip gives us more time to hang out so he can actually get to know me. Oh, by the way, you're coming too!"

Norah was deadpan. "..."

She asked in total disbelief, "Why on earth do I have to go? Are you guys scared of the dark and need me to be the glowing third wheel?"

Sara laughed uncontrollably. "You have to come! Otherwise, a guy and a girl going into the woods alone... people might get the wrong idea."

Since it was only a one-night trip, she packed light—just a single backpack containing travel toiletries and a thick jacket in case the mountain air dropped below freezing at night.

Just as she was walking out the door, her phone buzzed with a message from Gonzalez: [Bring the wheelchair.]

Norah absolutely loathed being confined to that chair, but she knew walking long distances would completely undo her physical therapy progress. Reluctantly taking his advice, she typed back: [Got it.]

She slung her backpack over her shoulders and headed downstairs. In the living room, the maid, Lorna, hurried over, carefully balancing two large coolers. "Miss, Madam heard you were going on a trip, so she had us prepare some premium ingredients and a few pastries for the road."

Norah pointed to her wheelchair. "Just set them on the seat."

Lorna stacked the two coolers securely. "Let me push this out to the car for you."

Norah smiled brightly. "It's okay, I've got it!"

Outside, the early morning mist still clung to the estate. The golden rays of dawn pierced through the hazy fog, casting a peaceful, ethereal glow over the world as Norah pushed her way toward the waiting car.
