Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3219

Jonathan let out a low, affectionate laugh. "Do you want to keep sleeping? How about you get up, eat something, and then go back to bed?"

"Mhm," Estelle hummed softly, making zero effort to move.

Jonathan got out of bed and went downstairs to fetch the breakfast Wilma had kept warm for them.

As he was walking back up the stairs, a sudden thought struck him: Estelle's period was two days late.

Remembering just how utterly unrestrained he had been last night, a sharp frown creased his forehead as he quickened his pace down the hallway.

Pushing the bedroom door open, he immediately forced himself to calm down. He set the breakfast tray on the table and scooped Estelle into his arms. "No more sleeping. Let's get some food in you first."

Estelle rested her head against his shoulder until she finally blinked the sleep away, then slipped out of his arms to go brush her teeth.

When she returned, Jonathan had already arranged the plates and poured her a glass of milk. As she sat down, he gathered her messy hair and tied it back with a scrunchie so it wouldn't get in her way.

Estelle ignored the milk and eagerly dug into her porridge, her appetite surprisingly ferocious. "What did Wilma put in this? It smells amazing!"

Jonathan watched her closely. She seemed perfectly normal, exhibiting absolutely no signs of pregnancy. He smiled softly. "I'll ask her later."

Estelle nodded, completely focused on devouring her breakfast.

Once she was mostly finished, Jonathan asked as casually as possible, "Ella, did your period start yet?"

Estelle paused, mentally calculating the dates. "It's actually two days late."

Jonathan nodded, his dark eyes locked onto hers with profound intensity. "Should we take a test, just to be sure?"

Estelle laughed it off. "It fluctuates by a day or two all the time. Plus, I'm not nauseous at all, and I'm starving. Do you really think it's possible? There's no point in testing!"

She didn't want to get his hopes up just to crush them.

Besides, what were the odds that she and Magdalen would get pregnant at the exact same time? It was too much of a coincidence.

Jonathan reached out and grasped her hand. "Taking a test won't hurt. And don't worry—I won't be disappointed. If there's no baby, it just means I get to keep enjoying my other perks."
