Gonzalez didn't flinch. Instead, he met her threat with a wild, reckless smirk. "Be my guest. It’s about time everyone knew exactly how I feel about you. Then I can court you out in the open."
Norah stared at him, bewildered. The man standing in front of her felt like a total stranger. The Gonzalez she knew was always so cold, untouchable, and indifferent to the world.
But this man was utterly shameless!
She glared at him, resembling a furiously cornered kitten trying to intimidate a massive tiger. Realizing she was completely outmatched, she finally gave up, spun on her heel, and fled back to her apartment.
Slamming the door behind her, she threw herself onto the sofa, fuming.
When other girls were pursued by men, they were treated like delicate princesses. Why did it feel like she was sitting on a powder keg with him?!
He had just blown her world apart, leaving her stewing in a chaotic mix of anger and panic.
Was that even considered wooing someone? If they had been in a dark alley, she would have assumed she was being mugged!
There was no way she would ever agree to be with him. Never in a million years!
Norah took a deep breath and exhaled forcefully, trying to expel the overwhelming frustration and heat bubbling in her chest.

The next morning, Norah packed a small suitcase, planning to head back to the Lamont family estate. But the second she opened her door, she ran straight into Gonzalez, who was just stepping out of his own apartment.
Norah treated him like he was invisible, marching straight toward the elevator.
The man followed at a leisurely pace, stepping into the elevator right behind her.
Since it was the weekend, the building was quiet. They stood side-by-side in the empty elevator, separated only by her suitcase.
Gonzalez glanced down at her luggage. "When are you coming back?"
"I'm not!" she snapped, purely out of spite.
Gonzalez stared at her puffed-up, angry cheeks. His voice was terrifyingly calm. "When you get home, tell Mr. Lamont to cancel any plans he has for today."

There's a song currently playing via YouTube and TikToc by LowDii "Touch Me Softly" that makes me think of Norah and Xavier (Gonzalez). Please, I'm looking forward to updates. Thank you for your writing....

As the plot thicken. Adrian is done for and he can't try to control Norah, so he'd probably tattle to Janice who's gone for two weeks. Thank you soooo much for the updates....
