Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3328

"I'm not leaving. I'm just getting a blanket," Norah murmured, her tone gentle and coaxing.

Only then did Gonzalez loosen his hold.

Norah turned off the air conditioning in the living room and slipped into his master bedroom to grab a comforter.

It was her first time stepping into his room. The decor matched the rest of the apartment—minimalist and dark. The cold, stark aesthetic made the space feel just as unapproachable as its owner, entirely devoid of warmth.

Norah picked up the comforter, casting one last glance around the room before heading back out.

Returning to the living room, she draped the blanket over him. She crouched beside the sofa for a moment, watching him sleep, before switching off the floor lamp. She turned to leave.

"Norah, you promised you wouldn't leave."

The man's deep, mumbled voice echoed behind her.

Norah looked back. In the darkness, she couldn't clearly make out his eyes, but she could feel the weight of his gaze pinning her in place—a look steeped in quiet, moody longing.

A few seconds later, she turned back around. "Scoot over," she told him.

Gonzalez instantly shifted closer to the back of the sofa.

The moment Norah lay down, she was swept into his arms. Then, a searing kiss came crashing down on her lips, consuming her entirely.

The girl closed her eyes. A few seconds later, she offered a clumsy, tentative response.

Feeling her surrender, the man paused for a fraction of a second. His dark eyes searched her face in the gloom. The initial surge of surprise quickly gave way to an even more ravenous, uncontrollable passion as he deepened the kiss.

Norah felt like she was drowning. Instinctively, she tried to pull back.

Gonzalez's large hands clamped down on her soft, slender waist. In the dark of the night, his raspy voice was devastatingly seductive. "Should we take this to the bed?"

Norah's face flushed crimson. She buried her face deep against his chest. "Gonzalez, don't push it."

Gonzalez knew that if he played the vulnerable card a little longer, he could absolutely coax this girl into his bed. But he was also painfully aware that if they actually made it to the mattress, he truly wouldn't be able to stop himself.

*Uncle Gonzalez?*

A scoff escaped his lips. After everything that had happened last night, she still wanted to draw a line between them?

Norah quickly changed and applied some light makeup, hoping to sneak out before her neighbor typically left for work.

But the moment she opened her door, she found him leaning casually against the doorframe, dressed in black loungewear, waiting for her.

His hair was still damp, rogue droplets of water trailing down the dark strands, adding an extra edge of untamed wildness to his strikingly handsome features.

Norah greeted him with feigned composure. "You're up early, Uncle Gonzalez!"

Gonzalez's dark eyes locked onto her. "Norah, I was running a fever last night. I didn't black out from drinking."
