With that, Norah turned on her heel and sprinted out of the room.

"Norah!" Yvonne chased after her for a few steps, but seeing that Norah was already running down the stairs, she gave a harsh scowl.

Hannah wasn't home, so Yvonne immediately called her. "You need to keep a close eye on Mrs. Atkins. Norah is trying to dig into what happened that night, and she just went looking for her."

Hannah scoffed dismissively. "How is she supposed to find her?"

"She's a Lamont," Yvonne retorted. "Is there anyone she can't find if she wants to?"

Hannah's tone instantly grew more cautious. "I'll send someone to watch her right away."

"Didn't you say this wouldn't leak out to the public?" Yvonne demanded coldly. "How did Norah find out?"

If Norah knew, it was highly likely the rest of the Lamont family knew too. Yvonne was starting to panic.

Hannah stammered for a moment. "It must have been one of the maids slipping up. I'll warn them again. Don't worry, even if there are rumors outside, they won't affect you. Just stay home and focus on your script. I had to pull a lot of strings to get your uncle to invest so you could get the female lead. Just ignore everything else and give a good performance!"

Yvonne knew this opportunity hadn't come easily. A major director and a massive budget—she was counting on this film to make her comeback. Otherwise, she never would have agreed to risk her reputation on Hannah's scheme.

"I'm joining the cast soon. Do not mess this up!" Yvonne warned sternly.

"I know!" Hannah quickly hung up the phone.

Back in her car, Norah took a deep breath and pulled out her phone to call Gonzalez. "Hannah is going to make a move very soon."

"I've got everything arranged," Gonzalez replied with a nod on his end.

Norah felt a wave of relief.

After getting off the phone with Yvonne, Hannah wasted no time dispatching men to keep an eye on Mrs. Atkins again.

Yvonne stared at her script for a while, but Hannah's nervous tone still unsettled her. Mrs. Atkins had only accepted her mother's money to pay off her son's debts, making her completely unreliable.

It was always better to have leverage.

Her eyes darted around the room before she personally dialed Sonny Quayle, one of the thugs working for Hannah.

Sonny had been introduced to Hannah by Trevor Cromwell and had run plenty of errands for her over the years.

As soon as the call connected, Yvonne cut to the chase. "Did Mrs. Atkins' son piss someone off on the streets? Dig up some dirt on him. We can't let her flip on us!"

"We've met her son," Sonny sneered. "He's a piece of trash. Before we even did anything, he started threatening us, demanding more money from Mrs. Hanson, or else he'd have his mom spill the truth."
