Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3351

Yvonne was far more ruthless than her mother.

Norah couldn't help but feel a pang of anxiety. "Will the innocent child get hurt?"

It had been her idea, which made this her oversight. She never expected Yvonne to stoop so low as to kidnap Mrs. Atkins' grandson just to control her.

"No," Gonzalez said with absolute certainty. "The kid will be fine."

Norah relaxed slightly.

"Mrs. Atkins brought this disaster upon herself by making a deal with the devil," Gonzalez explained. "The fact that Yvonne kidnapped her grandson means they've thoroughly investigated her. As long as I didn't leave J City, they would eventually use the child to keep her quiet out of fear that their plot would be exposed. Because of you, we made arrangements early and secured the boy's safety."

Norah tilted her head, studying him with a playful gleam in her eyes. "Uncle Gonzalez, you're like a completely different person now. You've gotten so good at comforting people!"

Gonzalez gently moved Circe aside and pulled Norah into his arms. "Let me ask you something. Do you like Xavier, or Gonzalez?"

Norah bit her lip, flashing a coy smile. "Aren't they the same person?"

His gaze grew heavy with emotion. "You used to think they were different."

Norah lowered her eyes in thought. "Actually, it's always been the same person. The only difference is being loved versus not being loved."

She looked up at him. "Don't you agree?"

Gonzalez frowned. "Are you blaming me for not loving you before?"

Norah shook her head, her eyes shining with absolute clarity. "No. I'm just so incredibly glad I got to see what it looks like when Xavier loves me."

His eyes darkened with an intense, suffocating wave of affection. He leaned down to capture her lips. "Norah, I have always loved you."

She was the only one who had ever truly owned his heart. Always.

Circe watched the two of them kissing and quietly curled up in the corner, not daring to interrupt. The humans were blissfully paired up, leaving the feline completely solitary. She kind of missed Coco.

...

Later that evening, a celebration banquet was held for one of the Hanson Corporation's major projects. Nearly all the top executives were in attendance.

She had strategically leaked a bit of information earlier just to pressure him. She refused to believe he didn't care.

"Simon is here tonight," Hannah urged in a hushed, panicked voice. "You need to leave right now. I'll get to the bottom of this as soon as possible. Don't worry, everything will be fine."

"We haven't seen each other in days, and you're already trying to get rid of me?" Trevor stepped closer, wrapping an arm around her waist. "You used to beg to see me. Now you don't even call. Did you find yourself a new boy toy? Are you trying to kick me to the curb?"

Hannah pushed against his shoulder playfully. "Don't be ridiculous! I've just been busy. I don't have the time or energy for anyone else."

"You might not have the energy, but I've been dying for you!" The man flashed a lecherous smile, his hand wandering daringly up her waist.

"Stop it, are you crazy? You know exactly where we are!" she scolded sharply, though her half-hearted resistance only brought her closer to his chest.

"Relax. Everyone's out in the banquet hall. No one's coming in here," Trevor muttered, leaning in to kiss her cheek.

Hannah giggled, trying to dodge his lips, but suddenly froze as if she had been struck by lightning. Every drop of color drained from her face.

Norah stood at the entrance to the inner room, supporting Simon, as they both stared coldly at the entangled couple.
