Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3361

"I'm sorry," the man's husky, magnetic voice broke the silence.

He hadn't thought she was ready, and he genuinely hadn't planned for anything to happen between them right then. But he had lost control. No man could have remained entirely rational in that situation.

Norah wrapped her arms around him, unsure of how to explain herself. She had just been a little flustered and overwhelmed. In truth, if he had just coaxed her a little more, maybe she would have... She closed her eyes, torn between modesty and immediate regret.

"Are you going to work today?" Gonzalez asked.

Norah hid her face against his chest, her cheeks still burning hot, and offered a soft murmur of agreement.

"Then sleep a little longer. I'll wake you when it's time," Gonzalez told her, releasing his hold to sit up.

"Where are you going?" Norah immediately lifted her head to ask.

He picked up her nightgown, intending to help her slip it back on. "Nowhere. I'm staying right here with you."

Norah flushed a deep crimson. Her gaze darted away as she asked in a low voice, "Are you in a rush?"

The man swallowed hard, his voice dropping an octave deeper. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't, but it really isn't the right time. I can wait."

After all, they had only just made their relationship official.

Her parents and elders had no idea she was even seeing anyone.

Norah lowered her eyes to his shoulder, biting her bottom lip. "If you're in a rush, I could consider it," she whispered.

Gonzalez froze, his gaze turning incredibly intense as he reached up to gently tilt her chin. "Don't say things like that to a man, sweetheart. You know exactly what the consequences are."

Norah looked up at him, the corners of her eyes growing slightly flushed, though her gaze remained fiercely determined. "Gonzalez, are we going to get married?"

"Yes."
