Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3369

"Bullshit!" Zachary shot back defensively. "It was only three months! And the boss forced me to stay in bed that long anyway!"

Norah laughed so hard she could barely breathe.

"Norah, how did you get your memory back? When did it happen?" Zachary asked, utterly fascinated.

Gonzalez was just as curious. His intense gaze remained locked on her.

Norah offered a secretive smile. "I'll tell you guys all about it later!"

She changed the subject. "How is Coco doing?"

"Great! He's put on even more weight recently," Zachary eagerly replied.

"I'm going to go see him!" Norah turned and headed straight for the backyard.

Gonzalez frowned. "Eat first!"

"I'm not hungry!" Norah waved him off, already disappearing out the back door. All she cared about right now was seeing the dog; food was the last thing on her mind.

Gonzalez tried to follow her, but Damian and Zachary instantly blocked his path.

"Boss, did she really get her memory back?"

"Did you officially win her over?"

"Are you two finally together?"

By the time Gonzalez managed to escape the interrogation and reach the backyard, Norah was crouched in front of Coco, gently running a brush through his fur.

Coco lay happily on the ground, tail thumping rhythmically against the dirt, a massive, goofy grin on his face that perfectly mirrored Zachary's.

The sun was nearly gone. In the fading twilight, her delicate features looked incredibly pure and radiant. She looked so ethereal that even the final crimson streaks of sunset seemed brighter around her.

After leaving the barbecue restaurant, he had returned here countless times. Every time he stood in this yard, he would wonder when that girl would finally come back.

He'd look at the flowers she planted, the dog she raised, and every little thing she had forever changed.

Now, he had finally brought her back. This was what true peace felt like.

Leaning heavily on his arm, Norah stumbled out of the car. Gonzalez tried to pick her up, but she stubbornly insisted she could walk.

He followed closely behind her. Seeing she was relatively steady on her feet, he let her be.

As they rode the elevator up, Norah kept her eyes cast down. Feeling a pang of concern, Gonzalez leaned in slightly. "Norah?"

"Mhm?" she hummed softly, turning to look at him.

He took her hand. "Do you feel sick?"

She wanted to shake her head, but the dizziness hit her. Instead, she swayed closer and leaned her cheek against his strong arm.

Once they were upstairs, Gonzalez released her hand and spoke in a low, gentle voice. "Go inside and get some sleep."

Norah turned, staring at him with large, confused eyes. "What about you?"

"I'm going to sleep too."

Her luminous eyes were glazed with a watery mist, her pink lips perfectly glossy. Slowly, she whispered, "I want to sleep with you."
