Halfway through dinner, Gonzalez stepped out to take a call, and Adrian went to the restroom. Sara slid into the empty seat next to Norah.

"So, how did you two suddenly make it official?" Sara probed gently. "Did you get your memories back?"

Norah smiled and nodded.

"I honestly didn't plan on telling him yet, but a few things happened, and I practically had to confess!"

Sara looked a bit guilty. "I swear I had no idea he was the guy you used to be in love with. If I'd known, I would've rather died than try to flirt with him back then."

Norah waved it off effortlessly. "That just proves you have great taste in men!"

Sara laughed out loud. "You're totally biased! You're pretending to compliment me, but you're really just bragging about Mr. Hanson!"

Norah arched an eyebrow, completely unapologetic. "What can I say? I'm crazy about him."

Sara sighed through a smile. "Well, I guess another good one bites the dust."

Norah couldn't stop giggling.

Khloe slid over to them. "Congratulations, Norah. I'm really happy for you and Mr. Hanson."

"Thank you," Norah replied with a warm smile.

Sara cleared her throat. "Now that your love life is settled, I actually have some news of my own. The company is transferring a few of us to the branch in M Country. My application just got approved. I fly out in a week, and I'll probably be gone for a year."

Khloe looked up in shock, and Norah was completely caught off guard. "Why didn't you mention this earlier?"

"I didn't want to say anything until it was a sure thing," Sara smiled. "It's a huge opportunity. I'll get to learn so much out there, and the benefits when I return will be incredible. You guys should be thrilled for me."

"Do your parents know?" Norah asked.

"Not yet. If they knew, they'd never let me leave. They'd practically handcuff me to them if they could," Sara shrugged. "But I figure I need to get out there and explore the world while I'm still young."

Khloe kept her eyes glued to the table, staying entirely silent.

Norah felt a pang of sadness and leaned in to hug her. "Take good care of yourself out there."

"I will," Sara grinned brightly. "If you and Mr. Hanson decide to tie the knot while I'm away, you better tell me immediately. I'll fly back just for the wedding."
