Earning praise from the boss made Yuri's flushed face light up with excitement. "I promise to work hard and deliver real value for you and the company, Ms. Evert."

Marina clinked glasses with him and downed her drink in one go.

Yuri watched her and quickly frowned. "Ms. Evert, you can just take a sip. I'll finish mine!"

He tipped his head back and drained the entire glass.

He returned to his seat but couldn't keep his eyes off Marina. When he saw her throw back three consecutive drinks, his brow furrowed. He grabbed a plate of fruit and walked back over. "Ms. Evert, you should have some snacks."

Marina gently pushed the plate away. "I'm going to grab some fresh air. You guys keep having fun."

Her mind was still spinning with thoughts of the manga offer, leaving her restless. She got up and slipped out of the private room alone.

Yuri's eyes flickered, and he quietly followed her out.

Marina leaned against the balcony railing, the cool night breeze slowly clearing her chaotic thoughts.

Yuri walked over, pulling off his jacket to offer it to her. "It's chilly out here. You should take my coat."

Marina shook her head to politely decline. "I'm fine, really. It's not cold."

Yuri awkwardly pulled his hand back. He had a clean-cut, dependable face that made him look a bit older than his actual years. "Are you under a lot of pressure, Ms. Evert?"

"Running a company this size, having to worry about everything from top to bottom... You look about the same age as me. It's really impressive."

Marina rested her arms on the railing, offering a faint smile. "I enjoy the privileged life my family provided, so it's only right that I put in the hard work to earn it."

"But women your age are out dating, shopping, and enjoying their youth," Yuri argued.
