Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3444

Marina's eyes went wide, a dull ringing echoing in her ears. She felt like she was hallucinating.

Standing next to them, Yuri was absolutely paralyzed. He instinctively took a step back, staring in shock at the sheer dominance rolling off the man before him.

Marina didn't even try to push him away. Yuri, thoroughly mortified by the blatant display, practically scrambled out of there.

Marina's knees went weak, leaving her heavily reliant on the railing to stay upright. She gripped his shirt, intending to shove him back, but the raw intensity of his kiss completely drained her strength.

His technique was devastatingly flawless. The kiss deepened with a seductive tension that set her blood on fire, sweeping her up in a dizzying current until she was entirely overwhelmed by the heavy, musky scent of him.

After what felt like an eternity, he finally pulled back. He braced his hands on the railing on either side of her, effectively caging her against his body. His gaze turned somber as he stared down at her, his voice low and husky. "You've had at least three different types of alcohol. Are you celebrating, or trying to drown something out?"

Marina's lips were flushed and swollen from his kiss, her eyes slightly glazed as she struggled to catch her breath. "Carson, don't you think you're taking things a bit far?"

"Marking my territory in front of a guy trying to hit on my fiancée? I'd say that's entirely within my rights." Carson flashed a thin, arrogant smile.

Marina glared at him. "He isn't trying to hit on me. He works for my company!"

Carson's hand slid down to settle on the curve of her waist. "Darling, do you really think you know how a man's mind works better than I do?"

His palm was burning hot through her clothes. Marina's breath hitched, her eyes flickering with a reluctant, breathless heat.

Carson was completely drawn in by this side of her. His gaze darkened, tracing the lines of her face before locking onto her parted lips. He slowly leaned in again.

Right before his mouth could brush hers, Marina suddenly jerked her knee straight up with deadly precision.

Carson's reflexes were sharp. He had anticipated an attack the second her eyes shifted, but the blow still grazed him. He stumbled back a step, wincing as a scowl crossed his face.

"You little witch. Are you trying to take out your future husband?"

Marina aimed another kick at him. "Don't call me that!"
