Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3505

Erin flushed awkwardly, all her previous bravado evaporating. "He was just singing with me!" she stammered.

Carson grabbed Marina's hand, pulling her down onto the sofa with him. He looked up at Erin. "Then by all means, keep singing."

With no other choice, Erin picked up the microphone and shot the host a frantic look, signaling him to join her. Recognizing Carson immediately, the host scrambled to his feet and hurried over to Erin.

As Erin sang nervously at the front of the room, Carson and Marina sat stiffly on the sofa, acting as serious as if they were attending a symphony orchestra. Neither said a word.

Marina stared blankly ahead. After a long moment, she realized Carson was still holding her hand. She immediately tried to pull away, but the second she moved, his grip tightened like a vice.

Under the dim, moody club lighting, his strikingly handsome features were shadowed, making it impossible to read his expression.

"You can go back to your business," Marina said quietly. "Erin and I are just going to hang out a bit longer, then head home."

Carson turned his head to look at her, his voice cool and steady. "I'm not busy."

"What if Ms. Monet needs you for something?" Marina countered neutrally.

"Between the two of you, I'd obviously choose to stay with you," Carson said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Marina let out a cold scoff. "There's no need. It's one thing to put on an act for the elders, but don't you get tired of keeping it up all the time?"

Carson stared at her face for a long time. Suddenly, a wicked gleam flashed in his dark eyes. He leaned in slowly, his voice dropping to a low, husky register. "Are you jealous, Marina?"

Marina sucked in a sharp breath, glaring at him coldly. "Don't flatter yourself."

Carson turned his attention back to the karaoke screen, a faint, undeniable smirk playing on his lips. He said nothing else.

Seeing how smug he looked only made Marina angrier. She tried to yank her hand away again, but he held on tight.

"Let go!" she hissed through gritted teeth.

"Your hands are freezing. I'm warming them up for you," he murmured smoothly, refusing to budge. Instead, he shifted his grip, interlacing their fingers until they were locked together intimately.
