Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3570

Wyndham was thrilled to receive Warren's call. As a manga editor-in-chief, he had been keeping an eye on this massive exhibition from the start. Receiving an invitation for it made him ecstatic. He readily agreed to Warren's request. "I'll contact Ashen right away. She's incredibly passionate about manga. She'll definitely say yes."

"I'll await your good news then!" Warren said politely.

Wyndham exchanged a few more pleasantries before hanging up. Excited, he immediately called Marina. To his utter shock, however, Marina flat-out refused.

Wyndham couldn't believe it. "Sia, I know better than anyone how much you loved this project in the beginning. But this absolute refusal of yours really has me confused. It's like you're trying to draw a clear line between yourself and everything related to this work. Am I just imagining things?"

Standing in her office, Marina's tightly pursed lips betrayed her inner reluctance, yet she rejected him without hesitation. "I'm sorry, Wyndham."

Wyndham wasn't ready to give up. "Even the masters, Irwin and William Thorne, are coming. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You'll regret it for the rest of your life if you miss this, Sia. Think it over carefully. Please reconsider before giving me a final answer."

After hanging up, Marina stood by the window for a long time.

Once again, she cursed fate's cruel sense of humor. Why did Nocturne have to be Kai Foster?

No matter how much she loved the work or how hard it was to let go, she had to walk away.

The scene from the banquet was still fresh in her mind. She couldn't afford to have any further ties to Kai. Even if it wasn't for Carson, she had to do it for Miranda Foster.

Mrs. Foster had been so kind to her, and she adored the woman. She absolutely couldn't do anything to break her heart!

Now that the decision was made, Marina actually felt a sense of calm. Manga was a dream she had given up on long ago. Just seeing her new work praised and acknowledged by others, and knowing it would be exhibited alongside pieces from master artists, was enough to make her happy and fulfilled.

She was content to remain an unknown, admiring it from afar!

Summer wanted to treat Marina and Carson to a meal over the weekend to thank them for saving her life that night. Instead of sending a message to their group chat, she called Marina directly.

Marina told her not to worry about it. The three of them had known each other since high school, and after so many years, they were basically family.
