Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3571

Under the streetlights, snowballs flew through the air. The people who got hit and felt the snow melt down their necks jumped around in the cold like they were dancing, causing everyone to burst into laughter.

That carefree sound had always been deeply etched in her mind.

She smiled. "The snow is freezing, but after a snowball fight, when you go back to the dorm, your hands get hot. It's a magical feeling!"

Carson Foster held her hand, smiling faintly. "It's actually just normal body temperature. Because your hands are exposed to the cold for so long, they feel burning hot once they start warming up again."

Marina Evert suddenly understood. "It's like when someone has been neglected for a long time. The slightest bit of warmth feels like a blazing fire."

Carson raised an eyebrow. "Pretty much."

Marina looked up at the sky, watching the swirling snowflakes look even more dazzling under the fireworks. "So it was just an illusion!"

Back home, Marina was enveloped by the man's burning body heat. She teased, "Is this an illusion?"

Carson lowered his head to kiss her, his voice husky. "No. My body temperature is naturally higher than yours."

Marina tilted her head back, her slender neck arching slightly as she panted. "Why?"

Carson grabbed her waist, pulling her flush against his chest.

"Because I'm a man."

...

Summer Carlyle had put a lot of effort into this gathering. She wanted to rent a villa for the weekend so the group could have a good time.

However, after looking at a few properties, they were either too expensive or way too remote.

Marina offered to use her own villa, but Trixie Bell quickly shot the idea down. [It's too far from my place to yours. Plus, the weekend traffic will be a nightmare. We'd probably spend the whole morning just sitting on the highway.]
