Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3573

Carson casually glanced over. "They're high-quality fakes. Not worth much."

Colby walked over holding the washed cherries. He looked at the antiques on the shelf, picking one up to examine it closely. "It looks real to me. If it's a fake, it's practically flawless!"

Trixie bit into a cherry and asked, "Do you even know about this stuff?"

"My dad loves studying antiques," Colby replied. "He's taken me to plenty of museums, so I know a little bit."

Trixie's voice immediately went up a pitch. "If your dad loves studying antiques, your family must have a ton of them, right?"

Colby smiled modestly. "Not really. My dad just does it as a hobby. This kind of stuff burns through cash. Most people can't afford to play this game."

Summer joined them in inspecting the various collections on the shelves and complimented him, "Your dad sounds pretty impressive!"

Colby stared at a tricolor glazed pottery horse. He gasped. "If this is authentic, it's worth tens of millions of dollars!"

And the more he looked at it, the more real it seemed.

Trixie made her judgment. "Then it has to be fake!"

"Why?" Colby asked.

Trixie laughed. "Think about it. If it were real, would the owner just leave something so valuable sitting in the living room while renting the house out?"

Colby realized she had a point and stopped overthinking it.

After everyone finished touring the villa, the food in the kitchen was just about ready.

The garden outside was beautiful, but it was too cold, so they decided to eat lunch indoors.

They all took their seats as plate after plate of exquisite, aromatic dishes were served. The chef personally introduced each dish, explaining its name and the ingredients used to ensure no one ate anything they were allergic or averse to.
