Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3574

Colby felt completely wronged. Usually, when they ate together, they fed each other from their own silverware all the time. Why was she suddenly acting so disgusted by him now that they were with friends?

There was only one dish with cilantro, and he had deliberately avoided it, choosing something she liked instead.

Picking a fight once or twice could be written off as acting spoiled, but constantly throwing irrational tantrums in public made Colby feel utterly humiliated. His patience was wearing thin, but he forced a smile, trying to look accommodating.

Carson cast a casual glance out of the corner of his eye and placed a deboned lamb chop onto Marina's plate.

Marina looked up at Trixie and lightly chided, "Then feed yourself. Stop complaining so much. He's been so busy taking care of you that he barely ate anything, and you're still picking everything apart!"

Trixie scoffed. "Who told him to be so clumsy? If he were as considerate as Mr. Foster, why would I yell at him?"

A flash of gloom crossed Colby's eyes, but he smiled. "I guess I'll just have to learn from Mr. Foster from now on."

Carson looked up, his tone teasing. "Learning won't help. The most important thing is that my Marina is easy to please. She eats whatever I give her."

Trixie finally couldn't hold back. "That's because Summer knows Marina so well. She prepared all of Marina's favorites."

Still oblivious to Trixie's petty jealousy, Summer smiled and said, "If you put it that way, it's not me who knows her—it's the owner of the house. All these ingredients came with the rental. I had originally ordered food, but since they provided all this, I canceled my order and swapped it for afternoon tea."

Trixie's eyes flickered. Summer's explanation made her feel a little better.

Colby looked surprised. "This owner is incredibly generous to provide us with such expensive ingredients."

Marina kept her head down and ate. While she fully understood what was going on, a warm feeling settled in her chest.

The group chatted and laughed, quickly moving past the minor awkwardness as the conversation shifted to other topics.
