Magdalen laughed. "Why don't we get everyone together tonight? I'll have Charlie call Carson, and I'll invite Marina."

"I'll let Jonathan know," Estelle replied gently.

Since they were going to hang out, Magdalen decided the more the merrier. She also invited Gonzalez Hanson and Norah Lamont. She originally wanted to invite Sylvia and Gabriel as well, but they were currently out of J City, so she had to drop the idea.

It got dark quickly. Norah, who was home for the weekend, got ready to head out after receiving a call from Gonzalez.

The moment she stepped out of her room, she ran into Henson Lamont on his way downstairs.

Henson eyed her. "You guys spend every waking second together, and you still need a weekend date?"

Norah practically skipped down the stairs. "Estelle and Magdalen are having a get-together tonight. I'm just crashing the party."

She stopped and looked back at Henson. "Wanna come?"

Henson, hands stuffed casually in his pockets, radiating the arrogant, effortless cool typical of his age, looked entirely uninterested. "Why would I go?"

Norah's eyes crinkled in a teasing smile. "To babysit. You and Kya can sit at the kids' table."

Henson shot her a withering glare and turned his head away in disgust.

Gonzalez's car was waiting outside. Once Norah hopped into the passenger seat, he leaned over, gently catching her chin for a kiss.

Norah's big, expressive eyes darted toward the back. Gonzalez paused, glancing back just in time to see Henson open the rear door and slide in.

Gonzalez smoothly dropped his hand, seamlessly turning the motion into helping Norah buckle her seatbelt. He looked back. "You're coming too, Henson?"

Norah laughed. "He's coming to babysit."

Henson greeted him, "Gonzalez!"
