Chapter 527 

Estelle recalled how she had used a horror movie to help Jonathan with his insomnia before, and she turned to ask him, “Have you been sleeping better lately?” 

Jonathan looked at her, “You should know if I’ve been sleeping well or not, right?” 

Estelle asked casually, “Why did it suddenly improve?” 

Jonathan stared at the TV screen and said, “I asked the doctor, and he said that my insomnia might have been caused by having too strong sexual desires.” 

Estelle was stunned for a moment before realizing what he meant. Her face turned slightly red, wondering if Jonathan had really asked the doctor about this. 

The topic was not appropriate to continue, so Estelle didn’t respond further and got up to turn off the light. 

The room suddenly became dim, with only the light from the TV left, Jonathan’s expression tensed up, and he imm looked at Estelle, “Why did you turn off the lights?” 

Estelle explained, “It sets the mood better this way” 

The two stopped talking and focused on watching the TV. 

The movie was a documentary with a simple plot – a group of adventurers often went to remote areas, uninhabited p as haunted houses, graveyards, and desolate wilderness. They would create mysterious events to attract viewers. 

This time, the destination was an abandoned mental hospital that had been unused for many years, overgrown with wee However, there were often rumors of the hospital being haunted. 

The crew deliberately exaggerated these rumors and acted mysteriously, creating an intense atmosphere. 

As the movie began, several crew members entered the hospital before nightfall, set up their cameras, and then had the hospital staff lock all the doors from the outside, with instructions not to open them until daylight. 

After locking the door, as the sky gradually darkened, the crew members chatted and laughed for a while in the lobby before starting their exploration. 

There were about four or five people with flashlights and cameras. They went around the second and third floors. The abandoned operating room still had some medical tools, and there were some unexplained bloodstains on the walls of the wards. 

With dim lighting, the late-night wards and corridors exuded an eerie atmosphere of terror…. 

Estelle watched intently when Jonathan suddenly stood up. “I’m going to get some water!” 

After saying this, he went to the kitchen and turned on all the lights in the dining room and kitchen. 

Estelle continued watching the movie. 

The production team wandered through several floors, aside from the intentional scares from their own people, they found nothing unusual and none of the strange occurrences mentioned by the villagers. They were somewhat disappointed and returned to the first floor, planning to sleep and head back when daylight came. 

Around 4 a.m., the camera crew went upstairs to dismantle the cameras, preparing to leave. 

Estelle glanced around and saw that Jonathan hadn’t returned yet. She couldn’t help but call out, “Jonathan?” 

Jonathan came out and handed Estelle a glass of milk, then sat on the couch. 

Holding the glass of water, Estelle asked, “Is it warm?” 

Jonathan nodded, “I wanted you to drink something warm.” 

Without giving it much thought, Estelle drank the milk and continued watching the movie. 

In the movie, the crew member who went upstairs to dismantle the cameras did not return. The people downstairs grew impatient and sent another two up to search. 

Soon, screams came from upstairs. 

The remaining crew members were all frightened and rushed upstairs, only to see a long trail of blood in the corridor as if someone had been attacked and bled heavily. 

They frantically searched for the missing people, and because it was a documentary, everyone’s breathing could be clearly heard, making the scene even more intense. 

Finally, they found a room where a woman dressed in a white gown suddenly appeared. She stood with her back to them and her head lowered, her hair almost touching her knees. 

The leader, assuming she was one of the crew, called out a name and slowly approached her. When she didn’t reply, he mustered the courage to tap her on the shoulder. 

The woman abruptly turned her head! 

A scream came from the TV, and before Estelle could get a good look at the woman’s face, her shoulder was suddenly grabbed, and Jonathan kissed her.
